Should Paul do a Christmas Album?
-
Weeelll, I can always say hurrah! for anyone who "hear things" that I can't, but "Dance Till We're High" is more like a Phil Spector influence/tribute to mye ears, he did one of the most famous Christmas albums with "A Christmas Gift for You", but... And "Pipes of Peace"... well, I think they showed the video on MTV in December 1983, but... And "Footprints"... in the snow? On Christmas eve?.... hmmmmm, "Winter Rose" is wintery, yes... : : ops: ...

1st couple of versus - plus I hear sleigh bells in the background. I know its a stretch, but still has the Winter/Christmas feel to me. Winters coming It'll soon will be here If we knew what it meant We would take care Snow is falling Where the snow falls If we knew what it meant We would take care We would dance Light up the sky With your message fly With your message Bells will ring out for our love

Yes, I think it's very good choices. I agree that there is a feel to these songs, but they are somehow not CHRISTMAS for me because ... as with "Press to Play" for example, it came out in August 1986, late summer and I played it a lot, so while I can hear a Decemberish mood in "Footprints", is it basically a song on the album for me. But maybe if I played it more around Christmas...

Hendrix Ibsen:
He has "From Then to You", the 1970 collection of the Beatles fan club Christmas singles. It is perhaps more spoken messages than actual music but it is an album of Christmas.
That album was sent to Beatles Fan Club members in '70-'71 only, and never was available to the public. Most copies to be found now are counterfeit. A true LP copy on Apple Records is a rare collectible.
I was a member and I have one! (plus a few of the individual years)
I also have the Apple LP that I was able to buy in the '70's.

Why not? Better yet, he could put out a rap christmas album with Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Dickie Nuts, Wis-Consin, Notorious Phat Man, Bill-I-Be et al. Some of the tunes could be: "Yo Fatman, Get Yo Reindeer Off My Lawn" "Slay Bells" "Silent Nite (Shut Yo Mouth MoFo)" "Jiggy Bells" "Missing Toe" "Clap Yo Hands, Cap Yo Ass" "Yeezus Cripes Stupid Star" and that yuletide favourite "Your Nuts Roasting When I Opened Fire". Another guaranteed #1 for our boy Paul E Cartnee. Later.

It has to include videos. I want to see him crouching around & grabbing his crotch like rappers do.

Has Paul ever done a video with 19 year olds in bikinis dancing around him?
