It would be nice if it wasn't just someone from the front rows that got called up maybe someone could be stopped as they enter and get told you have an upgrade and can also go on stage if you wish
That's a great idea. Maybe if they were keeping track of numbers coming in, the 1,000th fan in the door or something xxx
I remember the text something funny they did a few tours back you sent a text to a number the message came on screen and if chosen you moved from your seat to the front row. It was a laugh I remember someone text happy mad war is over and another said I'm sat next to noddy holder
That's fab really funny

Thought I'd chime in here as I was called up on stage last October 30 in Greensboro,North Carolina. I am a first generation huge Paul fan and have been to many shows and do not go to sound checks as they are too expensive. But sometimes I get very lucky with regular price tickets and was in the 2nd row. My whole time on stage was under four minutes because I have seen the videos on YouTube. I thought I was up there for 10 minutes but it was much shorter. If Paul didn't want to do this he wouldn't. He enjoys the audience reactions. For me he signed my left foot because I held up a simple sign that said "trick or treat please sign my feet" and he made it hilarious. I realize many people might not agree with Paul taking the time during the show to meet a fan. But until it's you up there you can't imagine what a thrill it is. I will never forget my 4 minutes on stage with Paul.
I was there when you were called up and we were very happy for you, we enjoyed it with you!, His song count is exactly the same if he brings someone on stage or not, so the difference was the concert was extended 4 or 6 or 10 minutes...
Most people who disagree with people being called up on stage sound like they're jealous it's not them..for the people that have been called up, well done guys & keep it up. It's a personal touch that shows he cares about his fans.. And I agree..the song count is the same, so what exactly is everybody's problem with it?! Go to the concert, enjoy it & then, bugger off if/ when somebody gets called up..if it's bothering you guys so much, you need to take a look at yourselves & wonder why something that has no baring on your lives bothers you so much!!! :
You can bugger off. Someone started a thread asking a question. People are responding. :
You're the grumpy one so YOU can bugger off!!!!! :
Do you understand the concept of an internet forum? Someone ELSE started this thread asking for opinions. We gave them. YOU said "bugger off" and rolled your eyes. THAT is very childish and offensive. Grow up and learn to communicate like an adult.
Haha pot kettle and black Spring to mind..your response of 'you can bugger off' was soooo mature : I see humour is lost on you so I won't respond to you again!!

Moderator post: Can we stop the bickering and personal attacks, please, and return to the topic? Thank you

The OP asked our opinions on this topic. Mine is, I don't like it. But if he does it, my life will still go on.

too each his own, what a fantastic opportunity for any fan. I loved it, however,,, he forgot to sign my tattoo...I was gutted,...maybe one day...

Exactly. To each his own. If not, why ask someone's opinion? It's cool to have different opinions!

Of course it is, but it's kinda like raining on a fans parade that this has happened too....

Then shouldn't this be taken up with the OP instead of with people expressing their opinions because they were asked to? I didn't start this thread.

I'm sure it's an awesome experience for those who got to do it. Maybe it would be cooler in my eyes if 98% of the lucky ones weren't female.

I haven't got sore ??? I value other opinions thst why I stated the thread I am however dissapointed that some narrow minded folk are using the thread to argue with each other and call each other names.

Calling people trolls because of different opinions is a bit dramatic...

you have either misread what I wrote or it wasn't clear. I was commenting on the name calling and folk telling each other to bugger off.

I agree. It is a pity. Good discussion topic though!

I was at a Bruce gig at city's ground in manchester a few years ago and a young lad joined him on stage to sing. I must say it was a real delight to watch. The kid knew all the words and you could tell that Bruce enjoyed it too. The crowd seemed the enjoy it too. Also the other year you could become a member of the Alarm for one song during the encore but this was an auction prize at each show for the love hope and strength charity. It was pretty cool to watch and see how much it meant to the folk on stage

I also think that is cool! It is different from getting a part of your body signed. It would be fun to watch an audience member get to sing or play guitar with Paul.
