Seeing Paul live in his home town the question?

Despite the football ground being scruffy and a bit of a dump it didn't matter
I've been to many, many stadiums and Old Trafford was by far the worst..no atmosphere, horrible ignorant staff & Manchester, in general, is a dump!!!
Old Trafford a dump? I am assuming you have not been to Goodison Park. I'm as Evertonian as they come but would choose OT over GP. I saw the concert at the Echo Arena and it was the least enjoyable but then I saw him in 2003 in the docks and it was incredible.

I couldn't understand what he was saying (the intro to the song)
The audio is bad, but it's cool, nonetheless, that McCartney played such a super-obscure song like "In Liverpool" at that 2008 show, which he'd recorded in the '80s.

Judging by how fast all tickets and VIP packages sold out, it seems this will be the most anticipated concert of his UK/EU tour. How many Maccaboard members will be there? I have counted at least a dozen, probably much more.

I wonder where Paul actually calls home these days after all when you think about it he left liverpool in his 20s so he had been away for 50+ years

Liverpool is always the most anticipated show of his tour when it's included, because it's his hometown and because he doesn't actually play there that often. He's played a lot more gig in London since 1990 than Liverpool.

I would assume London is more 'home' to him than Liverpool these days.

He probably calls whoever still lives there, maybe a cousin? Where does his brother live?

His brother lives on the Wirral still I think.

I'll be in Liverpool as well. It'll be my fifth time seeing him in Liverpool and it usually is a special occasion as it is the one place where he usually alters the setlist or adds a special song. Plus the whole city is abuzz over his shows, it's different being there when nothing is going on and when Paul is playing. I've seen the man in many cities and to me. Liverpool always seems to take it up a notch. I've heard louder and more vociferous crowds but there is an added emotion of Home Town Hero done good! It's like Bruce Springsteen when he plays certain places in NJ!

Fingers crossed for "Penny Lane", "Mull Of Kintyre" and "Early Days".

did Mull and Penny Lane last time I believe
