People are so stuck in their phones, they don't see the country they live in, crumbling... posts unfilled, rights eroding, things we have always accepted as a given, slowly being taken away. They are expecting their phones to tell them what to do.... WAKE UP
A lot of people vote/post/think the way they do because that's what their phones tell them to do.
Wondering what would happen if the internet went permanently offline worldwide. or certain news shows went off the air. People would not know how to think, or what to do.
If the internet went off permanently worldwide, the world would go crazy as you said that people would not know what to think or do! That would be like the end of the world!
it could possibly stop the wars...
Its a good possibility. Please remember, there were also wars before the internet!
I do know there were wars before the Internet LOL In the US currently, people cannot function without looking at their phones. I see it everywhere!!! I've seen terrible car crashes all over the highway, which I'm sure are due to texting while driving. Thousands of cases... Many times at stop signs and stop lights, cars that do not move, when the light turns green and the car in front of you, doesn't move until right before the next red light. Almost every day, cars at stop signs, not moving and no other cars around. In the workplace, people who show up, every day, thinking we are a competitors location. The big sign out front, doesn't clue them in Even when you tell them they're at a completely different business, they get a very puzzled look of disbelief and ask are we sure we are not the other business? People cannot read simple directions anymore. I have had strangers stop me and show me something in their phone. It is written VERY clearly...amazingly clear, and yet the person acts like they landed in a foreign airport and the direction are in Latin. If our internet went out for 6 months, we could not read tweets, we would be stopped dead in our tracks, we would have to pay attention to our family and our friends. It would be a new world, and I believe in today's world, it could stop a war. No one especially other countries could read the threatening tweets.
You have a point, today is so different from the World War II and Korean War eras! People were really Patriotic in those days, they're not very patriotic now! I would love to see the internet go off for 6 months, then the hackers won't have sh*t to do! I'm not in favor of hackers, yet hackers get rewarded from our Government every time one gets caught by hiring and paying them lots of money! I've always liked the way you think l2t, you tell it like it is!
Really, didn't realize that
She Is A Very Wise Woman
Yes, she is! Its too bad she never went into Politics!

Some people are so spiteful & insensitive. They just don't care about others' feelings. A dear friend has a child with learning disabilities & this horrible person said that my friend's child belongs in a group home with a private bedroom. This rotten comment got back to my friend from another person that knows both of them. It just burns me up that people just don't care about what they say anymore.

A recent Time mag article extolling Elvis said he "hated" the Beatles. Grrrrrrr. I think that was too harsh. An overstatement, exaggerated.

People are so rotten & down 7 out nasty. Went to a flea market over the weekend. Loaded some stuff in our mini van when all of a sudden our kid said the passenger side door wouldn't open. Went around to check it out & some pos hit the passenger side door of our fan & pushed it into the fender. Them creep didn't even have the decency to leave a note. No closed circuit cameras in the parking lot. Now we're stuck with $1,500 worth of damage. DH got some estimates from mobile auto repairs but quotes too high & they said that can't be fixed on our propwerty. DH is waiting to hear from a friend to see if he can help.
