Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

NYC Paul fan:
I've read the last couple of pages of this thread looking for clues for upcoming US shows, and other than PETA and previously announced shows, am seeing nothing. Am I missing something? Historically speaking, what is the minimum amount of time that Paul has ever announced a show? I remember there was 20 days before Quebec in 2008. Was it ever less than that?
Usually for a major concert date, it's at least a month in advance. For spur of the moment shows (ie: Valentines Day in NYC), it's a couple of days notice at best.
And if it's on the back of a truck, something like 30 mins...

The Rolling Stones and Pearl Jam will be touring (separately) some of the biggest stadiums in Brazil and Argentina throughout november. I wonder whether that will influence Paul's plans, in case he's thinking about doing concerts during that month.
-
I think Out There will either come to a close at the festival in July or, we will get another small batch of dates in September/October surrounding PETA gig.

Maybe you guys can do what you do best, regularly? Keep building stadia. "If we build - he will come."

Good one! I just wish he would change the name of the tour!

I wish he'd change the song ratio.

That goes without saying!

My gut is out There is coming to an end soon. I'm wondering now if he will tour at all the last 4-5 months of the year. PETA being a dinner type thing will be a scaled down show from a logistics standpoint so pretty easy to do that one as a one off if you want to. If Stones and Pearl Jam are touring SA this fall I can't see Macca going there. Touring companies tend to keep those out of each other's way. Don't want to oversaturate a market with too many big shows that it can't support. I'm starting to think it basically end in July and possibly we get something new in 2016. I don't think he will stop touring forever as he has a big machine to keep fed. I bet there is close to 100 full time people involved. RamblinRed

The Things We Said Today podcast had Rick Glover on this week. This is a fantastic 1 hour podcast talking about his experience at Columbia on Stage as well as all of their experiences at various Macca shows. http://beatlesexaminer.podbean.com/e/things-we-said-today-139-rick-glover-on-stage-with-paul-mccartney/ RamblinRed

I don't think the Rolling Stones are coming. At least this year. http://www.popload.com.br/xiii-rolling-stones-desiste-de-vir-ao-brasil-e-frustra-a-turne-do-ano/

Yeah, there were reports earlier today about it. That's too bad for the Stones fans, but I guess now there is some hope for Paul's return. However, I would rather have him play in Australia in november and come to South America next year with a new tour and a different setlist. He has brought the Out There tour to us three times already.

Javi and Carlos, what's the problem with Brazil and Argentina? It's a shame, because the Stones also will play Mexico in December, so I guess the tour won't happen. Now, let's see if Paul do Argentina, Mexico and Brazil in November (all sources says it will happen so far, no Australia)

Carlos and Miguel, I would rather have Paul come to Argentina in November. He would sell out for sure several River Plate stadiums even at the outrageous Out There prices, because he hasn't been here for 5 years. On the other hand, I wonder what happened with the Stones. We already had dates and stadium assigned to their concerts! (end october, early Nov)

I guess we are facing a NEW worldwide economy problem: Greece. Don't know why but I think that was the cause of the Stones cancelling all the SA/Latin dates, it's not possible! All already have dates and stadiums booked (Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, plus Mex), but the dollar is very high in some countries like mine, and after reading the note you add yesterday, it says that out of the blue, all the sponsors received a call saying "Stones not going to happen" after 4 days when all the media in Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Peru gave almost confirmed dates! This is so weird
-
Hopefully Greece has nothing to do with it and perhaps the Stones decided to do something else in November? Who knows.

I would rather have Paul come to Argentina in November.
A few months ago some people in Argentina mentioned that there were negotiations for concerts around November 14 or 15. I'm sure Paul wants to go back there, let's hope the financial crisis will not stop him again. http://estacionk2.com/musica-2/paul-mccartney-viene-en-noviembre/ A couple of cities in Brazil (Curitiba and Salvador) had also been mentioned as possibilities for november this year, but I would really like to see him at the Maracanã stadium in Rio.

Me too! But he had trouble selling out a small venue in Rio last year. so I wonder how will he fill Maracana?

Maybe that market is saturated and needs a rest from McCartney.
