Someone said that Paul's first guitar was an Epiphone

Keep in mind, an Epiphone guitar in the mid 1960s was about the same as a Gibson. Today, Epiphone guitars are budget versions made in Asia of the more expensive Gibson models made in the USA.

Great pictures Nancy, it is great to think that Paul has stayed loyal to his guitars, even though he could have the pick of anything

And with a different guitar. John has the Rosetti here http//smg.photobucket.com/user/njr/media/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/Beatles_1960_zps099ed2bb.jpg.html This is the post I messed up the info. Paul is playing the Rosetti Solid 7 in this pic. He took the pick guard off later (pic in the previous post) John is playing a Hofner Club 40. Paul is holding it in the famous pic of Pete, George, John, Paul and Stu that Astrid took. (the only photo of Pete taken that day) I'm looking at the photo on pages 40 and 41 in the hardback edition of The Beatles Gear.

I've always assumed he's owned a lot of instruments during his lifetime, but it looks like there could be full books about it.

Think the Rosetti fell apart I read somewhere!
