If you could make home anywhere, where would you live?
-
If I could live anywhere it would be like the song, "Here, There and Everywhere." Wherever my loved one lived is where I would want to be.

So true, have to narrow it down to summer and winter methinks I really need to go back to Holland! I really need to explore Europe.
I vote for Holland, even though the winters don't get cold enough. Normandy is nice, too.
Holland took me by surprise, it's got history, art, it's very progressive, the energy consciousness , bike paths and great public transport... Haven't been to Normandy yet, my sister raved about it. It's on my short list...

Kittay, that certainly would be the best place...

When I went to Holland, I didn't even want to go to Holland. Now I can't imagine not ever going back.

I know what you mean! I'm going back when the tulips are in bloom! I have to see the Cafe Terrace at Night! I was a half hour away from my favorite painting. A world away...

I'd love to go to Alkmaar during the cheese festival, but I never seem to time any of my trips properly. They also have a Beatles museum, so I suppose any time of the year is ok.
-
I saw the photos of all the wheels of cheese ! I'll have to check out the Beatles Museum too! I want to go to spend more time in Haarlem with its 14th century streets and see Frans Hals Museum and also the town which has the Kröller-Müller Museum and the second largest collection of van Goghs, after Hamsterjam.

Sounds fun

Not Paris (I felt that way even before recent events) I would love to live in London (if I could afford it!)
-
A world where I could eat anything I want
-
I'd move to Paris in a heartbeat. I've even looked at a few apartments, none of which I could ever afford.
-
Paris is another one of those cities...Imagine being able to go to the Louvre or Musée d?Orsay any time you wamted to!
-
I was in an apartment 25 minutes from the Louvre. I walked by, in and through it almost every day. It's not the worst way to live.

Your daily smile? How nice for you... There's so much I've not even seen there... Imagine 2hours on your birthday and start running When I leave a museum, I try to go back to my favs and burn them into my memory...with a goodbye 'til next time...
-
Paris has too many museums to really get to know them all. I just happened to be close to the Louvre, so that's the one I went to the most. It's also a really nice walk down Jardin des Tuileries.
-
That looks really beautiful, especially the fountain at the Place de la Concorde! Adding that to the list...Thanks! Haven't been to many museums there, but the Musee d'Orsay was excellent!
-
Paris has museums out the wazoo. The Louvre (featuring Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Raphael, da Vinci, Rubens, Titian, Goya, Tintoretto), Orsay (Monet, Manet, van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, Pissarro, Seurat, Renoir, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec), Musée Rodin (Rodin, van Gogh, Renoir, Monet), Musée National d'Art Moderne (Picasso, Matisse, Kandinsky, Chagall, de Kooning, Magritte, Klee, Balthus, Pollock, Miró), Musée Picasso (Picasso, Matisse, Degas, Cézanne, Seurat, Rousseau), Musée de la Musique, Carnavalet, Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, plus a million places I never saw.

jaw dropping...That's gonna take at least a month! Had better book time there soon... At least it will be really safe with the heightened security!
-
I was there for a month. It's worth it.

I'll bet my French will be much better too...
