Finally the end of the Out There tour?

I am not going to attend a Paul show again, I have seen him eight times and enjoyed every minute. I will not stay away from here. Set lists are no longer posted because there is little point in doing so, as he plays the same songs. No biggie. I get that it is fun for those going, all I have ever said to those folks is "have fun." And I mean it.
Yep, I have seen him from 1976 to 2011 and enjoyed it all. I am not going anymore either because I don't want to pay well over $100 to hear him do songs I have heard him do before in a better voice. I have bought all his new recordings and why should I go if he does not want to play much of it live. I hope people have fun also, wanting Mr. McCarteny to do more solo songs does not mean I don't want people to have a blast at his concerts. Exactly, why post the setlist if it is basically the same as the concert in the previous city?

That's what I didn't get either. During the last round of shows, folks were clamoring for that night's setlist when it was pretty obvious that it was going to be the same, save a few minor changes.

People are like sheep.

Why can't people just have fun on a fan message board without everything being constantly poo pooed?

Paul did say something to the effect that this was the last show of the tour. He said "year" once but I thought later he did say "tour".
It was an amazing tour, wasn't it? We watched great songs being performed live, made new friends and will get to keep nice memories for the rest of our lives.

The only thing more pathetic than fans who hang around message boards finding nothing to criticize about their favorite artists are "fans" who sit around message boards with nothing but complaints. It's time for a few people on here to move on with their lives. You are no longer fans of Paul. We get it. Move along and find something productive to with your time.
No, you're wrong. The most pathetic thing around here is people complaining about people complaining. Last time I checked this isn't a "fun" board, it's a message board. There's a difference. It's up to Paul and his moderators to decide to no longer allow posts with dissenting views to the "we love Paulie" sentiment. Until then, how about you refrain from posting such requests of other members when it clearly is not within your remit to do so?

I just hope the new year brings news about Paul making music for us, no matter if it's a new album or a new Tour.

Out There was a fun and successful tour, especially for those who attended and the cities where he played. My own sister and her husband went to Minneapolis and had a blast, and I talked with her enthusiastically about the concert. But for those of us who, year after year and decade after decade, never get a show, it is very frustrating and does not inspire blind fan worship in us to a level many of you have risen. I reserve the right to become a blathering fanboy should Paul ever perform in Albuquerque. Until that day comes, I will question and critique and call things how I see them, which is not always in a negative light. Paul as a solo artist and a Beatle are complex themes, not one dimensional. This is a forum where his music can be scrutinized and differing opinions be expressed and disagreed about. I like that.

How about both?

Ok, but how about not beating it to death? (not that you are the worst offender of the negativity)

Enjoy your time off, Paul. I was happy to see the first and the last dates of the North American Out There tour. Enough time and changes in between the two to make me happy. Lots of fun and fun to watch everyone around me enjoying it as well.

I have seen 7 Out There concerts over the 2 years. Enjoyed them all. As I did the On The Run shows, Up and Coming shows, and shows before those, back to the 70's. I will see more concerts. I like the Beatles. I like Wings and I like his solo music. I don't particularly care for the man himself. I don't like him very much. I don't care about his clothes, hair, what colour jacket he wears, meat free Monday, vegetarianism, revisionism, Stella's designs or Jim Bob's music, nor the gushing wannabes who get called on stage, the dumb signs, and the general thumbs upping, I CAN HOWEVER APPRECIATE THE MUSIC AND SONGS...and his unsurpassed legacy. And I consider myself blessed to be born in the Beatles era. So I call myself an avid fan regardless of what a few of you think; and I'm going to call it as I see it as long as this remains a discussion board and my arse points to the ground. Until the board rules state this forum is strictly for blind sycophancy and cloying unbridled Paulie worship... You're stuck with me.

A new Fireman album would be nice.

"Until the board rules state this forum is strictly for blind sycophancy and cloying unbridled Paulie worship... You're stuck with me." LOL, glad we are stuck with you. You can be a fan and still be at times critical. This board would be boring if every post treated Mr. McCartney as some type of rock God. If people on this board think the criticism is bad here, they should go on a sports team board like my favorite team (NY Yankees) and see how everybody (players, manager, GM, owner etc) gets torn apart by some fans.

If I didn't care, I wouldn't bitch. And if my standards are too high, I blame the guy who instilled them in the first place.

So all being well thats the end of the Out There tour,a tour whose name i thought was awful from the off (but lets be fair whats a name nowadays?)a show that shouldnt have had the rising platform it stopped people getting near to the front and for the little time it was used seemed pointless frankly. The song selection wasnt bad to criticise it really isnt valid in my eyes He wont change much now and lets be fair he did play a decent amount off the NEW album if he was coasting he would]nt have bothered as its more than clear he would sell venues out if he just pulled up a chair on stage on stage and read the newspaper and said nothing. Now the harder part for me,he needs a year away we as fans need to miss him for a bit but i suspect his age is now counting against him,how many more years can he keep doing this 2/3 years maybe and i guess he must feel this and while the money rolls inwhy should he stop?. Wish list for a new show i dont know do an hours worth of acustic stuff maybe other thn that why change a winning formula,a formula that most artists would give their right arm for.
