Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors

KingMacca:
It has the "out there" event image. Sigh......
I noticed the same thing, but it doesn't really mean these new shows are still going to be OUT THERE. Ticketmaster doesn't always update those little pictures so quickly. I'm going to this benefit show in Miami this week featuring Phil Collins, and the artwork on the TM page was originally the same one from his last live shows from 2010. TM did eventually update it, much, much later. So, I think that the OUT THERE image on the Portland page, is simply a placeholder, til a new promotional image arrives. We shall see.

Sounds good. Getting psyched up now. No rumors for months, now a crazy amount. When it rains, it pours on the board

thenightfish:
Sometimes TM will load a show as a test listing and take it down, so catching those is just luck. I think we get announcements tomorrow or Tuesday 3/08
I think so too. 3/08 makes sense Time to dust off the ol' credit card..

Agreed. It was a test load so they used what they had.

It is was a test, then the Oregon date might merely be a test as well. I'll wait and see what the actual dates are.

I'll put $100 on April 15, Moda Center being legit.

Based on my analysis of the past 5 years of concerts... See my map here: https://batchgeo.com/map/96c3db2d9f94b8832ac9f3f43084c71e Paul is most likely to visit the following North American cities in 2016...
What makes you so sure that Paul is going to visit the cities you mentioned in particular?
11 years since Portland! Look for Vegas to be moved up to April to coincide with the grand opening of the T-Mobile arena in Vegas! More West Coast cities to be named soon! Portland Arena is run by Anschutz Entertainment Group which allow manages the following arenas: STAPLES CENTRE - LOS ANGELES T-MOBILE ARENA LAS VEGAS O2 ARENA - LONDON

So it's been a long time since Portland. Maybe he'll finally hit those few cities he hasn't visited since 02 and 05 tours? Such as Cleveland? That's been my hope for years!

there won't be any shows in Europe excluding two announced in february? and from another one site http://www.boxofficehero.com/boh-event/832292-paul-mccartney-portland-or-04-15-2016-tickets

Nothing is for certain, and it's now obvious the first leg will be another US party, but as posted earlier the source who confirmed Werchter before it got announced said as far as the crew knows at this point, they are going home in between the gigs in early and late June.

Paul on tour in Europe is always great news, but June with Gilmour and Springsteen tours already announed (and tickets bought) doesn't look too good for me. I would be really sad if Paul toured Europe and I couldn't make it to at least one of the shows.

true, I have busy June - 18-19 - Elton John and Queen+AL, 25 - Gilmour. so you are right, better he visit Europe by the end of the year
-
T-Mobile Arena in Vegas is opening up in early April with Guns N Roses reunion shows, so Paul wouldn't be the first act to play it. He likes being first . But he could easily book there instead of the Garden, they are both MGM venues.

Bob Gannon:
Well you know, I'm 10,000% in favor of a NYC show....very easy for me!!!
Is this another clue? Your first one talked about the odds being 1 in 10,000 for us to figure it out (difficulty scale)

Probably not. Just wishful thinking on his part.
