I hope ticketmaster keeps using the interactive maps going forward, it would make life much easier
I have noticed that on the first day that tickets to a high-demand concert (or sports event, such as playoff tickets) go on sale, when it is very busy with lots of people trying to buy, TM usually does not load the interactive maps.
I recently bought tickets for my daughter to a popular concert and before it showed the usual chart, a pop up came on the screen and said something about heavy demand so they would not be showing the interactive map.

Good luck when it's your turn to buy tickets!
I have a feeling I will need some luck whenever they go on sale

Hopefully the upcoming concerts in the US, Japan and South Korea will ne handled in a different manner.
Some venues on Ticketmaster use an interactive detailed seating chart, but not many. From the last time McCartney tickets went on sale for the US some charts showed sections and some showed rows in letters or numbers but not many at all showed seat numbers.
I had 3rd row seats for Indy last year, Every seating chart we looked at never had my seats. I couldn't tell if they were in the middle or on the end....I got lucky, they were closer to the middle. But it's scary to buy seats you can't find till you get there !!

I remember that seating chart. The venue and Ticketmaster showed the exact same seating diagram. Seat numbers were missing. For example the last seat on the floor next to the center section might have been number 15 and the first seat in the center section across the aisle from seat number 15 was something like 22. What happened to seats 16 thru 21? The diagram showed my seats right in the middle of the center section. The seats were actually located in the left section facing the stage. They were good seats but not what the diagrams showed.

Any members know how the floor section seat numbers run facing the stage in Pittsburgh at the Consol Energy Center?

I keep seeing this problem mentioned on a different concert city posts. It's so hard to find out seat number and sometime row number information for concerts. Does anyone know of a web site that lists rows and seat numbers for different arenas and stadiums?

No. Somebody "out there" with lots of time on their hands (which I know means none of us! ) should start a wiki. I think the problem is that floor and field seats in stadiums and arenas are not permanent and so can be reconfigured differently for every show (aisles, no aisles, no seats at all, etc.) And while I would think a venue could just keep the numbering consistent for each show they host, I have no idea what it is like to run a place like that, how many people get involved, etc., so changes in numbering might happen everytime somebody new is in charge? Just speculating here.

Some of the replies I have received from the same box office for the same show vary from person to person that you speak to. I have also been told that the seat numbers run different for different concerts at the same arena, that it's done concert to concert and they didn't know how it would be for the concert I was asking about. Another response, the seat numbers haven't been established yet, even though the pre sale started that day! For the concert in Greensboro NC I left a message on the box office voice mail. Surprisingly I received a call back and the rep said that for ALL of their concerts the floor seats are the same. Facing the stage for each floor section seat number one is on the left. She then gave an example, In section C seat number 1 would be next to the center section B. Why can't all arena's who are selling tickets to a concert have that info?

Where will you be sitting? It seems like you meet Paul when you go... so I want to hang out with you! My seat is in section A seat 15. (Although the seating chart only shows 12 across). I'm hoping it will be the last seat in the row close to Section B.

I suspect you are correct about temporary seats on football and baseball fields. The regular stands should have permanent seat sections and numbers.

I'm in Section C seat 4. Thanks, If the rep from the Greensboro box office, and the ticketmaster seating diagram are correct , which they should be you are either 1 or 2 seats from the center section. If you want to be sure call the box office and leave a message with your question, they should get back to you. If you do let us know how you make out! I think you have a great seat!

I was told various things about how the seat numbers ran in Lincoln NE. I was also told various things about where we were to enter the venue on the day of the show. Pinnacle Bank Arena had no idea of how the seats were numbered or even where the VIP package people were to enter.

That doesn't make sense. If you're facing the stage, seat 1 is usually on the right of the section. Oh well.

I know it doesn't sound right, but ticketmaster has it listed in their diagram that way (still could be wrong!) I have seen floor seating every way, nothing would surprise me. I know I've said this before, but it shouldn't be that difficult to have a detailed seating diagram!

I have been shopping for Milwaukee, Marcus Amphitheater. Same gig. You are offered seats in a section, with row number and nothing else. In two sections, you could be near the middle, or against a wall with obstructed view. Same high price. Could not even imagine having the kind of money so as to not even care. Punch line Marcus Amphitheater says all ticket sellers must reveal ALL of the information on the front of tickets as well as information on obstructed views. Ha Ha

Not sure what you are looking at, but seat numbers are always displayed when you purchase tickets on Ticketmaster. and if the tickets are obstructed, TM will say "limited view" so you can decide if you want them before purchasing. The Marcus diagram does show that seat 1 is on the right side of each section, so that the numbers run right to left when facing the stage. Good luck, I hope you get the seats you want!

I got sec C Floor row 17 seat 3, for Paul in Seattle at Century Link Field Stadium 2013. The interactive TM map showed the seat was near the inside aisle, closer to the center, but it ended up being near the outside aisle, farther over. It was still a decent seat, but i was annoyed that the map did not match the numbers properly, especially after dropping $275.

Yeah.not seeing that on Ticketmaster. Certainly not up front. The only thing you can learn about section 1 is the row. You could be near the center, or up against the wall and up the creek !

I know it doesn't matter unless you are buying packages or floor seating but how do they expect fans to pay the prices asked and not know where they are sitting? If they are selling tickets an exact floor plan, rows and seat numbers, has to exist. Why not share so the buyer can determine if they want to pay the price for the seat that's available? 5th-beatle bought tickets in a section that has numbers and letters for rows, he had to buy tickets and not know where he is sitting. In Indy ticketmaster and the arena had an incorrect seating diagram up for McCartney's last concert the whole time. When I bought tickets for McCartney in Manchester you were told the row but you had to wait until you picked up your tickets at the arena before you knew where you were sitting. Why? A member of this board was sitting for that concert, facing the stage to the extreme right. He paid top price traveled to Manchester and had bad seats. When I have called the box office at different arena's to ask how the seat numbers and rows run number wise they don't have an answer. If the tickets are on sale there has to be an accurate seating chart. The best answers I have gotten regarding seating have been from board members here who have been to that particular arena before.
it's happened to me too Phil, I know who you're talking about in Manchester.. but it has happened to me too and I was pissed not just once but several times at Budokan... Japan.. I was in the last row of the first sec. I was under the impression that I was in the first row floor period than they had a freaking lottery where u had to pick an envelope.. to decide whate part of the venue isle and seat u were going to get ... I was soooo angry!!!

This is the first year where the majority of Venues that McCartney is playing at are showing the seat numbers in the floor sections on Ticketmaster. In the past most did not show seat numbers similar to this year's seating diagrams for the US bank Arena in Cincinnati, and The First Ontario Center in Hamilton ON. Calling Ticketmaster or the venue's box office was just a waste of time.
