Yay! Where are you headed? Mine is still a little less than 5 months out, but still torn if I should buy plane tickets now or wait to see if they go down a little.

I used to work for the airlines, the price usually goes up closer to the date, two weeks prior or less. Check more than a month out for best fares. Ask the airline reservation people, they have 30 day advanced purchase, 2-3 weeks advanced purchase ticket, and then it can go up to $800-$1,000 each way
if you wait until 1 week prior. That's a generalization, but it will fall in that range usually. The final seats are a hot commodity and the group fare people have returned their tickets by the last week, so you can really pay through the nose!!! Going to see my travel buddies in Europe! Going to a couple of concerts and catch up, I love Europe, it's architecture, history, museums, culture, music and people! I might go to Scotland where my roots are... Also want to try and fit in at least a couple of days in Paris and Hamsterjam!!! If I'm lucky, I can get one of them to go to Italy with me.

I believe that I have ancient memories from Scotland, I'll finally see, just like with Paris. I always take many photos! I enjoy photos more than most!

You and Hailey McComet jet setting all over, and I harbor qualms about just going to the beach
F----k it, I'm going ! Got my old Chevy all checked out, seems okay. I won't let that minor fender bender and a couple other travel mishaps prevent me from hitting the road, any longer. Ironically the DUI (only one I ever had, and I was finally found innocent) arrest where they kept making me appear in court over and over, which was 75 miles away, almost really did make me wreck 'cause of the strong sun blinding me at that early morning hour (had to be in court by 9 a.m.) and could not see to drive, often, nearly ran off the road a bunch of times--well, the Law really did almost make me commit a really big driving No No, which could have proved very serious or fatal. Finally I told them I was not going to the courthouse for any more dates, not any longer, and they'd have to come and get me. Then they hopped to it suddenly and I was granted my day in court on the stand, and the judge exonerated me. My lawyer had done little or nothing--I talked my own way out of the mess. The cop and D.A. tried to bring me down and didn't get to, in the end, LOL
