Contemporary Quantum Physics

Keep working Oliver, you're still not quite understanding what I am trying to say. In recent posts I have made it clear. But then of course, I already understand it. As for God, it is a matter of personal definition, which is where the confusion comes in. Defining God solely as some sort of physical male figure can be a little misleading according to other writings in the book and other belief systems as well. In the very first book of the bible (Genesis) it acknowledges God as a 2 part spirit when God creates male and female human in God's image. Mr. and Mrs. God...So, why has Mrs. God been hiding from us all of these years?
I have a friend here who is a doctor in physics, and sometimes we talked about Einstein's relativity and it was hard for each other to see the point the other was trying to make... To do it here, not face in face, but in writing, me being Spanish, it's kind of crazy difficulty level. Well, there is a philosophical style called Panentheism that has God as the "mind" of the universe and matter/nature as "the body". There you have "Mother Nature" as Mrs God and God The Father as Mr. God.

Speaking of the quantum physics of music... Ran across this video of yours, Oliver from 9 years ago this month I really liked your song and video, am glad I found it again!
thank you! Now I could say that that is a different topic but it isn't. That song is older than dirt, you see. But already then my fav melodies were "wave-like"lol, going up and then down. Think of Satisfaction riff, Yesterday main melody, Ode To Joy... they "melodic waves", as I'm a musician more than any other thing it just make believe that "The greatest thing" must be wave-like or so. I didn't know about quantum physics but I already believed in "waves", lol. if u like that song u may like this version, that kind of "won" the one and only Paul McCartney song contest ever, (it's a long story...)

Enjoyed that video Oliver. You are very talented!
thank you! right now using my talent for quantum physics, in the next post...

I have some answers
21st Century Paul:
Quantum Physics ("QP" from now on, lol) again... "B or C": QP is not something new but 100 years old, all kinds of experiments have been done. I searched"quantum" in this site http://journals.aps.org/ and there were more than 200,000 studies, lol, so well.. how on Earth there is so much mystery bout QP?, and like dozens of interpretations?: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpretations_of_quantum_mechanics
QP is deep stuff, is like trying to find out if the afterlife exists or what are the best political or economical system. There are answers for the economical and political but of course... whoever that's interested in people accepting "different styles" is tempted to hide the truth... It has always been like that. Maybe teaching "their stuff" at universities, spreading at mass media, paying journalists, etc. And in some regime they just punish whoever that doesn't support "their stuff" you know. It happens with religion and it happens with science too. So all that different versions of QP. Some are "QP proves God exist" some are "QP God don't exist", some "How can you win a million dollar with QP", some are "QP proves you create your own reality" I mean... they're just twisted to support, promote, etc whatever ideology. So it's hard to get through all that layers.... My fav part is when they say "QP are against common sense" ... just like Earth being a sphere goes against common sense, heavy machines we call planes being able to fly goes against common sense... electricity... how a TV works goes against common sense! So what is not right is that "common sense". If "The Earth moves" it moves, and whatever ideology/common sense that believes the opposite is simply mistaken. So with QP.
I guess some are listed but already proved to be impossible. So I'm wondering about 2 or 3 mysterious things bout QP: -what the heck they mean by "the observer", a person? an animal? any kind of -measuring instrument? ??? -does the observer causes a thing or just discovers? -anything bout quantum entanglement Actually, all the end of his life Einstein tried to prove himself wrong. It's not easy!.
1. -what the heck they mean by "the observer", a person? an animal? any kind of -measuring instrument? ??? The observer is not a person, but simply anything that measures the particle/wave, so some instrument. It's when a QP system has "interaction/contact/shares information" with a "not QP system". It's not like that but think of a thermometer, once the mercury of the thermometer reacts to the heat of the QP then is "measured", cause it alters something outside of the QP system (the mercury of the thermometer). What makes QP like that is isolation, all is QP-like, only interaction with everything makes that "measure" happen again and again. It's not "measure" just interaction, contact. It's not about invisible tiny particles only, they have turned objects like diamonds into "quantum state". It's a just a state of matter/energy. 2 -does the observer causes a thing or just discovers? Here comes the funny stuff, lol. It seems the answer is not clear, and any possible solution or explanation is "against common sense". Like "future changing the past""behaving like if they were out of space and time" and things like that, more of answer 3... 3 -anything bout quantum entanglement (QE) QP may be the weirdest science. And Quantum Entanglement is the weirdest thing of QP. And the "angle of the measurements" is the weirdest thing of entanglement. In QE 2 particles are connected cause they once were close. At first it was thought like a rare thing, now it seems they say all electrons are entangled with the electrons of the same atoms... plants create sun energy because entanglement, in the end we go to "Everything is connected". But somethings are more connected to particular things than others (if not, all would be the same...) When 2 "particularly entangled" thingies are far away, if one is measured (so "Interacted") the other changes instantly (or at least at 10000 times faster than the speed of light). Einstein called that "spooky action at distance" and though it was impossible. Yet it's true unless all the scientist conducting experiments in the world are lying. The fun gets funnier, some entanglement made that a future particle changes a past particle, and things like that. All pointing to our concept of Space and time (Spacetime for Einstein) is not quite right... At last, my fav thing, the direction, the angles of the devices measuring the particles are decisive (maybe cause maybe effect or whatever) in the outcome of the experiment. This has been so tested that are stats of what to expect when scientists put their devices heading north, south, to the window, to the door, etc. If the devices look in opposites direction the results of the experiment (even if they're a galaxy away) is the opposite of when the device point at each other. Like if the "devices" sent or receive something. Maybe the scientists are trying to sell us something... lol if they're right, we're very wrong and they don't have a clue about it all. But well, the scientists of ALL the world agree so it can't be like economics, politics, religion... All that about entanglement and angles reminds of people. When are close we get a connection then we can be far and the connection remains in a special way. And the angles remind of eye contact, the strongest conection is when the eyes meet "the measuring devices are in opposite directions". So for me it makes sense "in a special way".
-
about the angles... is like there was direction, but not distance. Angles, degrees, but no space. Kind of that about Einstein's relativity, with acceleration but without a frame of reference. In my talk with my friend we said that Einstein's relativity only is possible if there is no space, no frame of reference. I'm not gonna remind all that but it's like moving... moving in relation to what? like the old question: What is the speed of a fly flying inside a plane? a-the speed of the plane? b-the speed of a normal fly? c the sum of a and b d a + b + the speed of the earth through the sun system + the speed of the sun system+ the speed of the galaxy... It would be ALL moving to close to speed of light. So, no relativity. Or so. Einstein did similar "mental experiments"as how could a person moving in an elevator see other person moving in another elevator...

Great thoughts, Oliver! For me, trying to understand it better, is to identify the different fields we are talking about. We have the atom field, which is a field of particles of relative similar sizes. Which, we can identify with our senses when several atoms are grouped together. We then have a solar system field, which we can only see the nucleus of when we look up into the sky and see the stars, which are their nucleus. We know that the particles that move around atomic nuclei move at great speeds. The particles that move around stars are moving at much slower speeds relatively speaking. It takes days, months or years for them to revolve around their star nuclei. And of course, we have galaxies that whirlpool or encircle blackholes. But, when it comes to the Planck QP field, things are moving so quickly beyond the capability of our senses or scientific sensors to detect, that it seems like a field of abstract craziness. Some scientists believe that quantum particles can be in two places at the same time. What I think is happening, is that they are moving so quickly from one place to another and back again, that they only appear to be in the same place at one time. Much like a tuning fork when vibrating. It appears to be solid at both sides of it's vibration, but it is blurry or unobservable in between. I think of the point of the observer as being the point of view. Every QP, ATOM or STAR or LIVING THING etc. in the universe can be said to have a point of view or to be an observer. Not only are we as human observers, spinning around the earth as it rotates, we are also moving around the sun as the sun moves around the blackhole at the center of our galaxly. And, the blackhole is moving through space itself as our immediate entire universe is expanding. And, from the point of view of an observer, our universe could be observed as a particle My equation expansion of Uncle Albert's equation (E=mc2) <oO< implies that particle fields get finer and faster as we go inward and slower and coarser as we go outward. You and I are 21st Century physicists, Oliver! I am studying at the same school that taught Einstein the theory of relativity.
-
I like how you broke that down! It helped to understand it ! The Planck QP field It made me think of how time seems to be going so much faster than when I was younger. Is it the expansion of the Universe... Or just a function of getting older. Is this happening to everyone, the perception of time going faster as you age, or is it just me? I did so many different things last year, as opposed to the sameness of my daily job, that it seemed to slow things down a bit. Still, I think that when I read that the Universe keeps expanding faster than we originally thought, this is why time seems to fly? This may me a bit of a philosophical question...can we feel/perceive the speed of expansion...over our lifetime?

Am trying to work on my terminology...

well, if the speed of light is a limit, then sure the bigger a field is the more the lap around the center it's gonna take "at max possible speed". I don't know if the quantum particles moves so fast that causes that confusion, if the instruments are exact enough they should find out. Well, I'm not a physicist, as Paul says I'm just "caught in a phylosophical discussion, oh yeah..."

for me the words "Universe expansion" are oxymoron to me, especially if they call it "infinite"... Like "it was already infinite, and now is bigger" (it seems like the promotion of the second part of a Hollywood blockbuster), I don't get what they mean... I've read than when people age they kind of feel like years are shorter cause they divide all his life between the years they have lived. So for a 60 year old, a year is 1.6% of his life. But for a 20 years old, a year is 5% of his life.

after what I've read about QP I'm less confused than I was. I can't see no "answer to it all", but there are some things I can forget about. Also it lead me back to see the paralel between how people see it all when they have peak experiences and how QP is. Both people in Peak Experiences and Quantum Particles: "loss of judgment to time and space" "non deterministic, not forced to be an effect of a certain past" "spontaneity, expressiveness, and naturally flowing behavior that is not constrained by conformity" I like that This is only the "topic of the song" and not the full lyrics... "at one with the world" they say... in QP is the entanglement thing that seems to connect all instantly. Yet, I don't think many people can understand it not even if someone comes with the best possible explanation. (They can feel it though) Think that Einstein's relativity is understood by less than 0.1 % of people. Probably most don't get Newton's gravity law. And this is "a higher level" so... well... "the subject and object becomes one" just like when the audience and the band become one, for instance... or when you listen to some music and you like it so much that you kind of become the music... the subject/object thing seems to be another typical discussion in QP.

Am reading "The Big Picture" by theoretical physicist Sean Carroll, and have to keep checking it out repeatedly 'cause it's difficult to parse, twig, understand. Much of it. He's a Debbie downer in that he thinks God doesn't exist, because death and suffering exist. If he studied Vedanta he would gain insight into this dilemma. Truth. The Many Worlds concept is fascinating, that there are many universes. It's mind boggling of course. Mind blowing

I wish so much, I could take some QP classes!! I get the gist of a lot of what you are saying... Even as a young girl, the connectivity of everything was so intuitive, before the negatives from some of the worlds people, shooed those thoughts away... Or I just started keeping my thoughts to myself... Music definitely is like a wave and I can physically feel like I'm flying on a wave, particularly to Paul's music and other music I really like. I understand entanglement, when you think of a person you haven't heard from in years, and then the phone rings and it's them! Have been lost in time and space... "spontaneity, expressiveness, and naturally flowing behavior that is not constrained by conformity" I like that Definitely relate to that! Am thinking it would be great to take a QP class and understand the formulas in conjunction with the concepts!!! I enjoy reading your posts! Thanks! 2:

Quite synchronously, as I was searching for something to help explain myself better, I found this article that was posted just 1 hour ago... "Does quantum mechanics predict the existence of a spiritual "soul"? Testimonials from prominent physics researchers from institutions such as Cambridge University, Princeton University, and the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich claim that quantum mechanics predicts some version of "life after death." They assert that a person may possess a body-soul duality that is an extension of the wave-particle duality of subatomic particles." http://gostica.com/soul-science/physicists-claim-consciousness-lives-quantum-state-death/

A lot of people don't think that God exists, because God doesn't do everything for them. Look at all the tools that God has given us to make our and everyone else's lives better! It is the ageless story of Faith and Works. Like I told my oldest daughter when she was starting out in her career, "You have to believe positively, and do it as naively as a child, and keep working toward your goals." Well, now she owns her own business, has 4 employee/associates and received an Entrepreneur Of The Year Award here recently. Optimism is a quantum form of energy, just like pessimism is. "What we believe = what we receive". I remember this from biblical research and teaching classes several years ago. "The Truth Is All Around Us If We Could But Perceive" ~ The Moody Blues

yes dualities... if there is life there is death, if you can enjoy then you can suffer.... is that simple. If there can be light there can be darkness. He should take a listen of Hello Goodbye.

One of the Paul's melodies that is more like a wave is Celebration, he called it at first Sea Melody!. I can't teach anything bout QP formulas cause I don't know any, lol. I guess I'll never would go to a QP class cause if it's a mainstream class it's hardly gonna be quite true... now we are in that situation of QP maybe selling a certain philosophy... well it can be true, it's a theory. Sure we have body/mind duality. It's same story again: yin/yang, and all that... hello goodbye, lol let me quote Paul again... "You say yes, I say no, You say Stop, I say go, go, go. Oh, no. You say goodbye and I say Hello. ... "Quite synchronously" yesterday I read something about Synchronicities' father, Jung. Eros and Logos are western yin/yang, for Jung Eros is: "In Carl Jung's analytical psychology, the counterpart to Eros is Logos, a Greek term for the principle of rationality. In essence, Jung's concept of Eros is not dissimilar to the Platonic one. Eros is ultimately the desire for wholeness, and although it may initially take the form of passionate love, it is more truly a desire for "psychic relatedness", a desire for interconnection and interaction with other sentient beings." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eros_(concept)#Carl_Jung A more popular (even more popular than the Beatles!) Jung concept was Extroversion/Introversion. Kind of Eros and Logos in people.... That "a desire for "psychic relatedness", a desire for interconnection and interaction with other sentient beings." that is Jung's Eros/Extraversion reminds me of... yes. that's when QP particles "are observed", I'm gonna quote myself, one page back:
Is it me or it's just the same? Extraversion/Eros/Yang... and what causes the famous QP "measurement collapse". And QP remains QP only in isolation. Just like an introverted person stops "introverting" when interacting. Before it was just thought, then reacts to matter and to people. QP behave like Logos energy (maybe they ARE the Logos energy). Etc. "It's a just a state of matter/energy."

my 5th message in a row... The key point of that is what "God" is. "I believe in God" is quite an empty statement if you don't explain what God is, cause there are thousands of answers to that. Whatever that is, sure it's smarter than us, so we hardly can understand it. If it did all for us, it would be some kind of slave. "Slave God" is a bit of an oxymoron... We would be overprotected and silly just like the Roman emperors, you know... Nero in Quo Vadis also if it did whatever we want, it will harm others too a lot... And sometimes what we want is just the opposite of what other want, like say who wins a basketball game, then what God would be supposed to do?. A draw and infinite overtime??? "What we believe = what we receive" is half true. But that means is great(and bad when you're pessimist)!. The attitude is 50% the result, not 0%, not 100%. The placebo effect in medicine is full of endless proofs bout that. Again, 50% is mind/attitude 50% is body/matter. Or introversion/extroversion, eros/logos why/I don't know goodbye/hello low/high And those 2 things "outside/inside" are connected... enough talk.... Music on: "Your outside is in, when you're inside is out, you're inside is out when you're outside is in" Karaoke for the song
