Sir Elton and Band will be opening the Apple Music Festival tomorrow Sunday, September 18, 2016. http://www.gigwise.com/news/108161/apple-music-festival-2016-roundhouse-competition-win-tickets Then Elton and Band will be back in the USA!ð??ºð??¸ð??? *I found on YouTube the piano solo I speak of that I heard in person. If you look up "Elton John Piano Solo: Mobile, Alabama March 15, 2016." You will hear why I am so enthusiastic.

Sir Elton John and Band, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. October 05, 2016 It was a beautiful, balmy night in Baton Rouge when I arrived for the show. I must say the city is very charming, and the people I met were very friendly and helpful. Both concert goers and locals alike. The show started with Sir Elton taking the stage in his purple Captain Fantastic suit, dazzling with gold crystals and other sparkling treasures. On his face gold lens sunglasses to match, lovely earring in his ear, and purple shoes on his feet, topping off the ensemble. He was immensely handsome. A beacon of Light to behold. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd was exuberant. Sir Elton was full of energy for the entire show. He jumped up on the piano and walked the full circle of the stage over and over to wave to the four directions of the full venue. My favorite part was the piano solo leading into "Rocketman." Words cannot describe the solo, so I won't try. You have to hear it in person. Also I loved Elton's solo of "The One." The spotlight trained only on Elton and his piano. Other songs were some rocking familiar tunes, more mellow hits, and songs from his new album, "Wonderful Crazy Night." One cannot write about Elton without including The Band. The synergy of each member working together produces what I consider the tightest sounding band anywhere. As long as they have been playing together, some of the members since 1969, may be the answer as to why The Band is so essential to the gelling sound. We were all thrilled to see percussionist Ray Cooper back on stage with as much energy as a train. Approximately three fourths of the way through the show a darling young girl dressed in a sequined Dodgers baseball uniform, reminiscent of Elton's 1975 Dodger Stadium Show, was taken onstage. She danced with the band and sat on Elton's piano bench, and they exchanged a friendly cheek kiss! So sweet.â¤ï¸ At one point Elton stopped to say that, "he could feel the waves of energy he was receiving from the audience." If that is true, and I believe it is, he must have been absorbing the energy and giving it back to us all in the form of the roof raising final songs of his show. The concert was approximately 2.5 hours long, but really time stood still for me, so I am guessing. I was dancing and singing along with two female friends next to me that I met in Baton Rouge that day. Everyone old and young and in between were having the times of our lives! If you think about going to see Elton John and The Band, don't think, just do it. You will not be disappointed. *Check "Elton John set list fm" for a list of the songs he played.* â¤ï¸ð?âï¸ð???â? ï¸ð??¼ð??¹ð??¶ð??µ Edit: the famous chandelier was not there, but I didn't even notice until a few songs into the show. I love pretty lights, but it did not affect the show. Also, I have no photos as my iPhone being hacked, the hackers disabled my photo function.

That sounds a lot like the concert I saw in May. Except for the Dodgers fan. It was outdoors in a park, so we all watched the sun go down before the show started. When Elton took the stage, there was just a hint of orange glow in the background. He opened with Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding, which really worked in the glowing dark.

The Million Dollar Piano was so fabulous! Music, visual excitement with the stage, piano and video screen. It amazed me so much I am still letting it sink in! So much to share. But one thing was my reaction to "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)" I did not expect it to be so emotional, but I knew it would. If that makes any sense. The song, along with images of John, well I cried through 3/4 of the song. Just beautiful. â¤ï¸ð??¹

He didn't do that one when I saw him. Did he do a lot of Wonderful Crazy Night songs?

A Tribe Called Quest collaborates with Elton John. I really love this song, "Solid Wall of Sound." http://diffuser.fm/a-tribe-called-quest-elton-john/ Along with the recorded "solid wall of sound" from Bennie and the Jets, Sir Elton and Q-Tip sing a duet in the song and I think Elton plays the piano. I have it saved to my Spotify library! ð??¶ð??¹ð??¼ð??¹ð???ð???

On September 02nd, 2013 Sir Elton John will receive the Inaugural BRIT's 'Icon' Award : http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/4373347/elton-john-to-receive-inaugural-brits-icon-award
Just curious why anyone would start a Elton John thread on a Paul McCartney board when it has nothing to do with Paul McCartney.

Sir Elton John and Band! The New Year's Eve and New Year's Day shows I attended were so spectacular! Sir Elton performed "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," in honor of George Michael. Very emotional and poignant moment. Lady GaGa was there New Year's Eve. She was beautiful! The Band was rocking and rolling as usual just amazing sound! I met so many really cool, new friends. I don't think I could ever top the thrill of this past New Year's Eve in my lifetime. Here is a photo of Sir Elton performing, "Empty Garden ( Hey, Hey Johnny.)" Peace and Love! â¤ï¸â??ð?¾ ð??¶â? ï¸ð?¦ð?âï¸ð???ð??¥ð??¹ð??¼ð???ð??²ð??°ð??

Great pictures. When I saw him in May, his band was full of older members, like Ray Cooper, Davey Johnstone and Nigel Olsson.
