One song which should be a staple forever, can you imagine it's part of the set for 7+ years now? I remember it being added and just not believing it. 2017+7=2024, that's how long! And he always nails that scream, some of those through the years are even the highest full notes he ever hit, so studio, live, Beatles, solo, everything included. Often he hit a C6 (like the Sandy benefit, December 2012), not hit at any other point in his career, apart from when he sometimes approaches it as the last note of every gig (after 'The End'). Btw, his lowest note remains the clean and effortless A1 at 'The Girl Is Mine', which makes it one of the widest registers of all pop/rock vocalists (for example Freddie Mercury hit F6, but his lowest was F2).

I will keep on posting... Ending his gig on Hofner... Oh wait, wrong place

I saw shows 2 and 3 at The Dome. My second time having done so there. Just amazing!!! Unlike my first trip there I didn't feel I could really spare two plus hours lining up for merchandise, so I came away with a program only. A friend of mine had been told that there was a considerable line up for merchandise at 11am on the day of the show - just craaaazy stuff!!!! Anyway, of course there is a song or two that are tough for him vocally these days. Maybe it might be worth looking into replacement songs for those ones, but from the reaction of the crowd even during those songs, it doesn't seem to be a problem for the majority of people, so good on him - at the end of the day, I'm in freaken JAPAN rocking out to PAUL FREAKEN MCCARTNEY live - it's pretty hard to top a scenario like that!!!!!

found a nice recording of the show on the 27th. Paul doesn't sound that bad on what I've heard-

yeah there's one of Budokan too but it's not balanced at all like this. Keyboards are really loud, vocals almost inaudible. This one from the Dome sounds great though. Vocals are fine besides the obvious Fool on the Hill / Maybe I'm Amazed and Hi, Hi, Hi is pretty bad too. The rest are fine though

"That's the note, and that's the riff..."It kind of sounded like he was going to go into "Christian Pop". Now that would have been a treat!

With all the pro-shots and IEM's these days I will be coming back at this every other week ;): Did he really announce the Pepper reprise as "something we haven't done in Tokyo before" :lol! No wonder swapping 'Listen To What The Man Said' for 'Junior's Farm' for 'Jet' is a major change for him .
