Wishes for Paul's New Album?

Yes, I think so too! It's important to always try and be positive. In more depressing situations in life it takes more of an effort, and you have to make yourself, but with Paul's new album, I have a good feeling it's going to do really well.

Well, I believe I'm up to 62 posts now... have moved from "Learn to Fly" to "Let the Fun Begin" so-- oh, you were wanting to know what's going on in my world today... sorry Just made a big pot of vegetable soup, with crushed ramen noodles... there's a special vegetable broth I like to use and I always like to put a lot of pepper in it... turned out ok I guess Other than that, just relaxing after a long day. How about you? Have you heard back from the postmaster general about your mailbox problem? I'm getting mail at my PO Box so everything seems ok now... finally...

Hi LadyLeslie! I'm very proud of you for building your number of posts up to 62! Vegetable soup with Ramen noodles, I should take care of myself more but the night life is so tempting for me that taking care of myself is almost impossible. The only healthy drink that I drink is a Bloody Mary seeing that it has Tomato Juice in it! Yes, the mailbox problem is finally resolved, thank you for asking. I had a great day today, great days always go by fast when you're having fun!

That's great! You wrote that you work for the IRS, so if you can find lots of fun in your job everyday, you're a wonderful example to us all But it helps to have a sense of humor in whatever work a person does.

Funny you should mention salad, I had some Macaroni Salad earlier today, what a coincidence! What else do you see in the crystal ball? I always believed that if you are going to work 8 hours a day everyday, 40 hours a week, I am going to have fun at work. What do you think LadyLeslie?

Whoa. I had no idea. The thought of a salad just came to me.
jl4764 wrote: What else do you see in the crystal ball?
Hmm... I see you eating even more macaroni salad.. I see Paul's upcoming album reaching new heights on the billboard charts... I see Ringo out somewhere making a peace sign.

I think it's very important to like what you do, or to find something about it that you can like. I'm sure in your work there are challenges, and things you find rewarding... just have to take the good with the bad. As long as a person can keep a healthy sense of humor, they can get through anything, even a long workday!

I like the way you think LadyLeslie! You possess an incredible imagination! I did buy some Macaroni Salad so I will definitely eat more today! You are on a roll LadyLeslie, I am impressed! I feel the same way, I have to like my job or I will be miserable like Management wants! Upper Management wants everyone to be miserable at work like they are. I will not have it!

(Picturing Paul, Brian and Rusty leading the Maccaboard members in a campfire-like hand clapping sing-a-long "I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart....." up to the 18th verse..."And if the devil doesn't like it he can sit on a tack..." ) Seriously though, that's a wonderful way to look at things, jl4761! You've got a very positive attitude about your work and that always makes your day a little brighter, I'm sure!

You're very welcome again LadyLeslie! As for fruits, I love Grapes! Grapes are in Wines, I love Wines! That would be cool, Paul would lead the entire Maccaboard members to sing "WE LOVE YOU BEATLES, OH YES WE DO!" In this world LadyLeslie, and I'm speaking for myself, I need to have a positive attitude in life especially at work or else I am going to be a very miserable person not just at work, but at home as well! You sound like a very positive woman yourself LadyLeslie, don't ever loose it.

jl4761 wrote: You're very welcome again LadyLeslie! As for fruits, I love Grapes! Grapes are in Wines, I love Wines!
That's great! I've read that wine (especially red wine) is supposed to be good for you... some doctors even tell their patients to drink a glass a day, to fight against heart disease. It also has cancer fighting properties as well.
jl4761 wrote: That would be cool, Paul would lead the entire Maccaboard members to sing "WE LOVE YOU BEATLES, OH YES WE DO!"
That would be such a great song! He'd probably enjoy hearing that from his fans!

Aww, thanks so much, jl4761. I haven't always been positive, and still have to struggle to keep a sense of humor at times, but it's important to always strive for that! I've been through my own share of pain and heartache, laughter and creativity are the two things that have gotten me through the rough times. I've also learned it's ok to be true to yourself, and to allow yourself to be depressed or sad or even upset at times, to get it out and work through it... when a person tries to sweep things under a rug and pretend everything is ok, when something isn't, or when something is upsetting them, that isn't good... the lid on the pressure cooker eventually explodes, lol But if you're true to your own feelings, you can always work through whatever is troubling you and eventually find yourself in a peaceful place... and manage to find a sense of humor, lol Anyway, I guess my point is... in order to be positive, I think a person has to be true to themselves first.. (themself.. himself?... ack, was always terrible at grammar, lol) I checked the internet today to see if there was anything else written about Paul's upcoming album... didn't see anything new, other than what's been written before... within the next few months we'll probably hear more.

Hi LadyLeslie! It looks like we're turning into Maccaboard buddies! I drink one bottle of Red Wine a day! So if one glass of Red Wine is good for you, one bottle of Red Wine is even better! I can honestly say that I'm true to myself, now many people may not agree with it but I feel good being who I really am! I always tell people that I would rather them be true to themselves in front of me so I can accept them for who they are. LadyLeslie, you seem like the type of woman that is true to yourself. Your grammar is fine.

I understand what you're saying, people shouldn't be afraid to just be themselves, instead of looking for approval as an image they think others expect they should be... (if that makes sense)

Well, I try to be... sometimes I've let shyness and a lack of self-confidence and initiative keep me from attaining better career goals, but-- I guess that's just part of who I am, and I have to be myself, and just try to continue to grow as a person just like everyone else... *shrug*

Hi jl4761! I don't think there's ever a problem with listening to too much music, it's good for the soul, and brightens your day! I'm doing good, thanks... just having my morning coffee and getting ready for work How about you? Saw this interesting item about Donny Osmond... he tells a nice story about Paul. Evidently Donny's in the UK doing a tour now, and is giving some interviews. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/15039074.Donny_Osmond__I_never_regret_those_hard_times/ "He relishes career highlights including performing at London's Earls Court when he was 14. 'I flew over the audience singing Puppy Love with thousands of girls trying to reach me, which you can imagine at that age was pretty cool. I thought, 'Does it get any better than this?' ' he says. 'I was 15 when Paul McCartney came to my dressing room with his daughter, Mary, and asked for my autograph. Can you believe that? For years, I thought I'd dreamt it, but I checked with him recently and he said it was quite true.'" Since Donny was born in 1957, that must have been in 1972/1973. Maybe Donny had Mary confused with step-daughter Heather, who would have been about 1o or so. Anyway, thought that was nice, that Paul has always tried to connect with and give support to other performers

I knew that you were a Donny Osmond fan! When I was in Elementary school, I figured that if I was going to get anywhere with the Elementary School girls, I had to sit in their rooms with them and listen to Donny Osmond! Oh my God, the young girls loved him! All of my female cousins loved him! My female cousins made me go see The Osmonds live with them at the Hemisfair Arena in San Antonio, Texas in 1972. The Osmonds was the first concert I ever went to, what a night that was! I was the ONLY guy in the venue, girls were passing out everywhere, I have never been kissed by so many girls in my life. I was thinking to myself: "Maybe The Osmonds are not so bad after all!" The screaming girls in OSMONDMANIA, in my opinion, is the closest that you'll ever get to BEATLEMANIA! It was also the beginning of my hearing loss! What a lot of people don't know or realize about The Osmond Brothers is that they can truly ROCK when they want to! Lets get back to the heading of this thread, what I would like to see Paul do in his new album is write and sing more love songs for Nancy! Wasn't "My Valentine" written for Nancy?

I can see why the Osmonds bring back such happy memories for you! Sorry, was never an Osmond fan, lol... when I was 12 I had a terrible celebrity crush on David Cassidy instead I remember a friend of mine, when I was 13, had a Donny Osmond pillow, with his picture on it, and we'd always laugh whenever she'd bring it to a sleepover or camp, and use that as her pillow... I'm sure there were Paul, George, John and Ringo pillows too, back in the day!

David Cassidy is another one that all of the girls loved! I had the biggest crush on Susan Dey! I was also in love with Maureen McCormick! It didn't surprise me one bit when I later read that she was a coke wh*re during the Brady Bunch years! You must have liked and had a crush on Donny Osmond during some point in your life! Every pre-teenage to early teenage girls that grew up between 1969 to 1974, were in love with Donny Osmond! It used to drive me nuts because all I would ever hear from young Elementary School girls was Donny Osmond this and Donny Osmond that!

Sorry, never had a crush on Donny Osmond, lol... I was raised in such a strict religious environment, so never had crushes on the cute church boy types... David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman were my faves... later when I got older, I always liked the bad boy types like Alec Baldwin, Armand Assante (The Mambo Kings), Sylvester Stallone, and a certain rock superstar who shall remain nameless....

Bobby Sherman, now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time! Did you know that he is a Paramedic in Los Angeles? Did you have a crush on Andy Gibb and Leif Garrett? The majority of the women in this world all love bad boy types! I bet that the nameless Rock star is Paul McCartney! What are you up to? Are you ready for the weekend? Back to the topic, I would really love for Paul to record a whole album filled with fast and slow silly love songs just for Nancy alone!
