Wishes for Paul's New Album?
-
My wish is that Paul McCartney's new album display lots of variety and diversity in music styles and themes, rather along the lines of "Flowers in the Dirt," "Memory Almost Full" (the one with "My Ever Present Past" "Dance Tonight" etc.) and similar works. Variety to stimulate the listener intellectually and emotionally. His album "New" featured this stunning attribute, in large part. Also desire some amazingly catchy tunes like his song "New." However this turns out, to know it originated in his mind and heart and tremendous musicality already renders his upcoming new music a winner, to me

My hope is for the album to have an acoustic feel. Not that it would literally be all acoustic, just that it would have more acoustic sounds and fewer electronic/produced sounds. I think this would suit Paul's age and voice well.

A new Chaos and Creation, definitely
-
I hope it's all yodeling.

And I for one would be happy with anything BUT a Fireman-type album.

I love The Fireman. Fingers are crossed.

I would like to see Paul collaborate w/ other musicians similar to what Carlos Santana did w/ Supernatural. If Paul wants to sell more music he should consider selling to the millennials who purchase a lot of downloads.

I have the exact opposite wish. I want him to do a McCartney III, playing all of the instruments himself.

Fireman was great! I also really loved New and bits from Memory Almost Full. When his the new album due by the way, sometime next year was it?

Paul should release a political album. Call it "Somewhere in the UK" - a nod to his old mate. He could then write topical songs such as the Brexit vote & the collapse of the EU.

I'd thought something along the lines of "Off the Ground" with his social activist anthems for animals and animal rights, and against sexism and gender inequality ("Mistress and Maid")--not the whole thing but two or three songs. Also hope for some acoustic and not all electronica rave-style. Not a whole lot of that. Although I love "Electric Arguments" Pop in parts, also some hard rock but not too hard, not "Metallica" type hard and their ilk. A piano ballad wouldn't be eyed askance. Or eared askance

Dashes of zydeco ! New Orleans boogie-woogie with the frantic zippy accordians to get you twerkin'--zydeco sounds totally joyous and effervescent and life and love-affirming-- Love some harpsichord too. Dashes of a jumble of middle-eastern sprinkled with sitar for a multi-culti cool vibe, like that, not the whole thing "world music" though Might feature a New Age spiritual feel in places with harps and such, but please no 80's synthesizers. Black gospel choir. On something

A McCartney 3, or an album with an electronic (very produced) sound. No ballads please.

Some rockabilly is always cool
-
No, it's not.

"Give me one last kiss, I didn't mean to hurt you little girl" song...wowzah "The Other Me" love it, and its sorta rockabilly in a way That one he did with Carl Perkins "At Baby's Request" has that vibe "Arrow Through Me" sort of that vibe "Country Dreamers" --more examples later (of the "rockabilly effect" I find smooth and scintillating. Kind of delightfully retro style)

The only one of those songs that are remotely rockabilly is "Get It" (the Carl Perkins duet) Not counting covers, Paul hasn't done all that much in a rockabilly vein, though there are hints of it in "Eat At Home."
