RIP...for all that have passed
-
Sorry for his passing, but I must say I don't think the J Geils Band ever released a record I didn't find completely annoying.
-
The J. Geils Band was a tremendous live act and I was fortunate to have seen them several times during their prime. The album "Full House" does a good job of capturing them at that time.

Is Marion Ross still around? If so, only half of the people in this picture are alive.

56 is young
Like so many people I remember Erin Moran from Happy Days I saw one of those entertainment shows a few or more years ago and they showed her - not looking as well as you would hope .... and not financially as one would have guessed after all her time on a few shows ..... that was their spin - I don't know the real story other than what I saw on that type of show. Rest in Peace Erin Moran
Peace and comfort to her family and friends.

Yes, she's 88. Henry Winkler (71) and Anson Williams (67) are still with us.

I read it was a heroin overdose.

I read it was a heroin overdose.
I heard that all weekend as well, and it turned out she had stage 4 cancer (although I did not hear what kind of cancer)...and there were no narcotics on her when she was found unresponsive...that doesn't necessarily dismiss an overdoes (wait for the toxicology report for that)...but certainly puts a new spin on things for the moment

Scott Baio feared that alcohol or drugs would kill her. If you search enough articles you'll find that quote. In this article, someone in her trailer park thought it was a heroin overdose: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4438594/Erin-Moran-s-Happy-Days-star-Scott-Baio-pays-tribute.html

Anson Williams. Thank you. I was wondering what his name was, and Google takes a whole second out of life.

Author Robert Pirsig, who wrote "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" about philosophy and a long road trip made with his son Chris, who was 12 at the time. Tragically, Chris was stabbed to death in San Francisco as a young adult, by a stranger who came up to him on the street seeking to rob him. Pirsig later had a baby daughter and wrote that he felt she was the "reincarnation" of Chris. He was a powerful writer. Very talented and also brilliant, some thought.

So sorry to hear this news
I read Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintainence - Not knowing what I was walking into In the reading sense. It was an influence In my reading. Thinking and being. I talked about it with the people that read it. I thought about it ... One day I picked it up To recall some quotes and I Ended up reading it With a fresh set of eyes At a different point in my Life ... The story captured Me once more. Rest in Peace
