Who painted the Abbey Road zebra crossing?
-
I must say I like it

where did you find that photo? The crosswalk is normal colours today; I looked at the webcam just now. the studios wall still has the Pepper painting on it. I wonder what day the crosswalk was painted. Edit: I found this tweet just now from Abbey Road; they say that it was fans?

Note the Sgt. Pepper taxis in the background! This was also on The Beatles' Twitter feed: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DBK7kIAXsAAzqUj.jpg:large

Yes, but WHICH fans?????

TBH, I think it's just photoshop. I seriously doubt it would be possible to paint over a zebra crossing on a reasonably busy London road without anybody noticing, much less when the crossing is on webcam 24/7.

They could have just laid an adhesive material down for the Pepper release. Just temporary.

That's what I was thinking.

There was a contest in London, that if you saw all four of the taxis, and reported the time and place, you could win the new deluxe boxed Sgt. Pepper set. There they are on Abbey Rd!!!

Nancy R:
I guess you missed that I already pointed that out above yesterday. And I thought the contest was to have your picture taken with each of the taxis in order to be eligible to win? I saw it on Twitter. This was the original photo on Twitter:
They moved from your photo, so in case someone is in London, the can check both places
