Is there a working link for the interview?
Googling around brings up this one but I don't think it's the entire interview. But 12 minutes is better than nothing!

Paul seems to do this quite a bit...just going somewhere out in public. Good for him...but I would be crushed if I ran into him & he said no photos. I mean when would I get THAT chance again? I know he needs his "private time" & all but I'm just saying how I would feel. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4650398/Sir-Paul-McCartney-75-spotted-casual-train-ride.html#ixzz4lOyes8rB

Well, I guess just being able to see him would be better than nothing. He looks good though, he must enjoy taking the train. Perhaps traffic is bad in England at certain times of the day, like it is in LA or NY, so a train ride would get him where he needs to go in a shorter amount of time. He may want to be a good environmentalist too, by using mass transportation and saving carbon emissions, etc., which is great!

Sorry but I think he has a LARGE footprint flying all over the world back & forth just for a day or 2 at times.

And in the above Daily Mail Article: "Meanwhile, Sir Paul appeared to have taken something of a pop at his frontman nemesis, Sir Mick Jagger, claiming bands like The Rolling Stones should concentrate on belting out more of their hits rather than obscure new music. Paul insisted he will always entertain fans by playing his greatest hits on tour - and expects it of other performers in order to provide value for money. 'Okay, I understand you are trying your new repertoire. I get it... but please just do Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Woman, don't just do the new stuff. And that is where I am at. 'I have spent money on the ticket, so I know what all those people are doing. I have been them." So, I seriously doubt whether this is ever going to change...
-
^ He seems to always say that now a days. : That's his excuse for playing so many Beatles songs & not his solo stuff. I think he said it in the Australian interview & the last few ones he has done. He says "I've been them" (a fan) but has he been US? US that are wanting his solo work & "appreciate" his solo work & would LOVE to hear more of his solo work before it's too late.

I disagree... the airlines will always have those flights, whether Paul is on them or not... no matter how many passengers there are... The airlines should cut down on their number of flights if they want to reduce the carbon emissions they're creating. If someone chooses not to drive their car, though, that is a way a person can choose to make a difference, so if Paul wants to use the trains I think that's great. Just my opinion anyway

But just because something is there it doesn't mean you have to partake in it. Drugs are probably backstage at the big rock concerts where multiple artists are playing but there he makes (supposedly) a decision to not partake. He doesn't have to fly all over the place just because there are planes. But I do agree there are too many flights out there.

You guys think he flies commercial? I thought he had a private jet that he charters when he tours.
-
I agree...I'd think private jet when he's jumping all over one country but commercial when he's going over the pond. I remember hearing that he flew into one location 4 or 5 times(don't remember which show) for numerous soundchecks before the show & then flying to a home where he was staying daily.

From Four Five Secongs performance at 2015 Grammys. Funny...I was watching the performance & I had forgotten how they shut off Paul's mic. Take a listen right in the beginning you see him singing but you cannot hear him. : Oh & watch for Nancy towards the end.
-
? I remember watching this and wondering what that old guy was doing up on stage. He seemed so unnecessary. The version he sang in Tokyo was so much better.
-
Somebody took this photo, changed it to b&w and photoshopped in John, George and Ringo from A Hard Day's Night looking at Paul with a balloon bubble where one was saying "Who's that little old man?" and another said "He looks very clean!" I think I saw it on FB. Will try to find it.

^^ Great photoshopper!
-
awww Paul will never be a "little old man" to me.... he looks great for his age, and stays healthy and fit He totally rocks 75 is the new 50!
