Detroit, MI-Little Caesars Arena-Oct. 1st/2nd 2017-CONFIRMED

MetalGod:
Paul was in as fine as his voice can ever be at this age. He may have been better than he was in 2015 at Joe Louis Arena. A 4 to 5 day break does wonders to his voice. He did not falter at the beginning of Maybe I'm Amazed.
Just going off the YouTube videos alone, he sounds way better now than he did at any point last year. Maybe I'm Amazed this time around is way stronger than, say, the Desert Trip version.

It's 1:30 AM and I'm not going to sleep any time soon. I never sleep after concerts. I'm hopped up on a witches brew of Guarana, Yerba Mate, Fo Ti, Gota Kola, Ginseng, Gingko, Macca. We all had an awesome time. Had a customer contact me to ride with us and helped split the cost of the Uber. I was dazzled by the light show during Mr Kyte. Though the person whistling over and over again during Here Today was annoying. We all got new T shirts for our collections too. I wish I was going tomorrow. I'm babbling with my fingers right now.

SO, this morning, as I was playing with my husband's cat listening to her favorite rock show on the CBC and mareveling how good I feel, I heard about the shooting at Las Vegas at a concert. Haven't heard any details yet but at first, my thoughts were the same as the Batman shooting: That could have been me and my friends. But now in hindsight, no it couldn't. We walked through metal detectors to get in that arena. they even confiscated my husband's 15-in-one tool thingie with his permission as it had sharp scissors and a knife on it. (They offered to let him take it back to our vehicle but we ubered down there) I wonder if Paul will say something tonight like he did for Orlando

To much " noise " made during Here Today. Whistles, yells . It was a bit annoying! Whatever happened to the total silence during this song ? But it was still a great show & Paul sounded great too , now for night 2 of Paul in Detroit!

Because of selfish people wanting to take that quiet opportunity to be 'the one' heard. Absolutely annoying and a richard move especially for the other 15k people whom paid a lot of money to hear the legend on the stage.

glad I wasn't the only one annoyed there.

Paul seems to be trying to change up some banter. even did a few puns that made my husband laugh. He talked about when he does a classic song he'll see the stadium light up with phones but during a new song, he said it's like a black hole but He'll sing new songs anyway. I wonder if he can still get people to sing back with him at Everybody's Out There (he tries with that Kanye song)

Prayers and condolences to all in Vegas. And sadly another icon dies today. Tom Petty will rock in heaven.

har har, that is nothing! I paid for soundcheck tickets for my sister and I last year, took her as a gift. All through the sound check some woman was doing an Indian war-cry whoop so loud, and so frequently -- no one missed it. I was just glad she was far away from us at the soundcheck.. sooooooo as we were in our expensive 6th row seats, who does it turn out is sitting RIGHT BEHIND US?! And who continued their obnoxious war-whooping throughout the entire show -- it was really bad to hear that during Eleanor Rigby with Paul and Abe singing that delicate, beautiful song. I almost turned around and told her off, I should have. It's just not right. I'm sure Paul did not appreciate it one bit. And of course, she is memorialized on the video recording of that night, I got a lot of it on video but unfortunately, she is there too. I wish I could get her off of there. I wish I could rub her nose in how obnoxious she was.

Scope going: https://www.periscope.tv/Beatlegal09/1lDxLkPkDYqJm. After Save Us, Paul says it has been a very sad day, but tonight they're going to celebrate the joys of life.

At Fenway Park last year, I had a 7th row seat. The woman behind me was roaring drunk and spouting off (LOUDLY...SCREAMING) how she had a laminate and they would not let her backstage (I believe it was just a laminate one received in the box of swag with a previous show's gold seat)...all this during HERE TODAY. The usher kept trying to get her to shush. Finally I turned around the screamed 'SHUT THE F*CK UP! YOU'RE RUINING THE SONG." She shut up. Didn't know I had it in me but I had had enough.

It is still unconfirmed that Tom Petty has passed. CBS news made a retraction; LAPD made a retraction of the info they gave to CBS news.

From the Scope looks like the FOTRs were holding "See ya next time" signs during BOTR. Paul acknowledged. Very sweet.
-
whose broadcast are you watching, Beatle Gal?

Just got back from the show and saw the retraction. I guess we can't trust any of our "reputable" news outlets anymore. Walter Cronkite must be rolling in his grave. It seems to be all about getting it FIRST rather than right these days... Maybe a refresher course in Journalism 101 is needed.

LA Times just announced his official passing this evening.

I knew he'd say something. I Had such a mix of emotions yesterday having been at the concert while that was going on. Reminds me of the Batman premier. I had gone to one of those big premiers at the Detroit Science Center that same night with my friends and family and thought, "That could have been us" Made me grateful for the security. sure it's annoying to not be able to bring anything in but at the same time, I'm grateful knowing I was a bit safer. (though nothing can protect you from above even weapons on your person) On a lighter note, I wanted to mention I talked to some great people and I just love the people I meet at Beatles events and Paul concerts. I've met a huge mixture of all sorts, good and needs-to-get-help-and-grow-up and the good ones are so worth knowing. I separated from my spouses (they went to eat while I was too hopped up to sit and chew) once we got there and ended up spending most of my time waiting in line for the merchandise table. a mother/daughter team in front of me had the big glittering swag bags from those expensive seats and those tote bags were impressive. We talked about the food at these dinners (they liked everything this time but the desert though they did confess to having not-so-good food at other dinners) Next to me in our seats was this guy from Canada who was staying overnight. He said he'd try to get in Monday (I wonder if he did) if he could get a reasonably priced ticket. He would sing a line or two along with Paul and it was far from annoying. He had a beautiful voice and did it just enough to show off but not enough to irritate. Only once in a while I'd hear this beautiful harmony with Paul for two lines of a song. He was awesome. He and I both saw Paul for the first time in '93 but he's seen Paul over 20 times now. Yeah. I Love meeting good Paul people.

Went Monday Night and it was a great 3 hours. Thanks Paul. Does anyone know which hotel etc Paul stayed at when in Detroit ?
