Like I said a page before, I think my wife and I will be going to a few different places looking for the coldest beer. Spaghetti place will probably be one of the stops. I read somwhere in the paper that many restaraunts are filled up with reservations...One in paticular was Court Ave.Brewing Co.,said they filled up 3 weeks ago...As far as I know,Spaghetti Works DOES NOT take reservations,so we SHOULD be okay.I'll try to grab the biggest table I can. The paper also says that there is not very many parking spots to be had at Vets(right across from Wells Fargo) at all. There is a big parking ramp just to the south of the arena which I plan on unloading at.The Savery charges for their parking, and I don't know where they park them. The on street meters around the area will be busy due to folks working downtown,so find a garage close to where you'll be and plan on walking the rest...Again,the Spaghetti Works is one block south of the Savery... Hope this helps some...

Looks more and more like the Spaghetti Works is the place to be! I'm a little worried about the parking situation since we're staying in West Des Moines and driving into downtown around 2:30 pm.. I guess I'll just go to the arena and work my way out and try to find a parking garage.

Parking should be at a premium, however,at 2 or 3 in the afternoon it should be easier, although many of the spots in the garages will be filled due to folks working down there..If parking is the biggest problem I have all day on Thursday,I'll be a happy camper!

I'm so excited, the concert is soo close. I was just reading about all of you guys meeting at Spaghetti works, and it sounds like most of the restaurants are going be super crowded. My boyfriend and I have class until 320 up in Ames, and we're going to drive straight down to the Arena and then go somewhere for dinner and that's not going to be until like 430. Are we basically screwed?

It's hard to say - Spaghetti Works has never taken reservations as far as I know. Someone was going to go around 3 and try to save some space. My husband and I plan to drop in sometime between 3-4. We both work at ISU - I'm off all day (must have plenty of time to get ready ) but he's working until noon. I'm assuming they are talking more about the restaurants being full during the dinner hour - we should be earlier than that - we hope anyway!

For BAND FREAK and SEUSS... Sorry, had to do that. I'm a die-hard K-State fan. I'm heading up to the game in Ames on the 5th. Should be a good game between two disappointing teams.

That's OK - I'm actually a closet Iowa Hawkeye fan getting paid to work at ISU Really I support both teams - just have a really hard day when they are playing each other - NOT a good year this year Trying NOT to be disappointed in Iowa City . . .time will tell!

I think i've been somewhere around there...I work for EH&S, I'm one of their student workers, and I inspect all of the fire extinguishers on campus, and I did Curtiss last spring.

That wasn't me...I've only worked for them a semester...it was probably the fire marshall...he busted the Landscape Architecture building for the vines. I only bust people if they remove the fire extinguisher with out telling us. D
