Oleguer out a few weeks (a good thing, actually)... Henry limped off against Sevilla and had to be subbed out... And now Eto'o limped during the remaining minutes of the ACN final as Cameroon desperatel;y searched for an equalizer that never came. If Eto'o is injured, the season is lost, not just the league.

Xavi plays an important part in Barcelona's team, he helps the defense and starts the attacks...
Most Barcelona fans believe Iniesta is more important to the team than Xavi is. Xavi's performances in recent matches were so sub-par that Gudjohnsen was starting ahead of him at times. Over here in the U.S. the GolTV network shows every game involving Barcelona and Real Madrid. Many of Sevilla and Villarreal too. We get about 4-5 La Liga games each weekend. They also show many of Barcelona's Copa del Rey games too. I have every Liga game involving Barcelona recorded onto dvd this season. The only Copa del Rey games I don't have are the two games against Alcoyano because they weren't shown on tv here. It's embarrassing how much 'futebol' we get on tv here in the U.S.

Real Madrid 7 - Valladolid 0 Robinho injured and substituted for Drenthe when the score was 1-0. This time Guti was "the best" (not the worst) of the game.

Hopefully they got all the scoring out of their system and aren't able to buy a goal next week against Betis. But I doubt it. "Sólo es fatiga muscular" Tired muscles, according to SPORT. Hope so.

"Fatiga muscular" is used here when... there' s no injurement really, he's just tired, so tired he can't play, but I guess he will recovered shortly, maybe for next weekend.

Internacional 5X 0 Brasil de Pelotas Well, time for me to talk about my team, great game! 2 goals form Marcão, exelent defender! The stirker Iarley is the top scorer of the competition also did a very good match! Manchester United 1X2 Manchester City Michael Carrick's late goal was not enough to make up the first-half advantage Darius Vassell and Benjani Mwaruwari gave to Manchester City, as the Reds face up to a second derby defeat of the season. The match was preceded by a moving minute?s silence to the 23 people who lost their lives in Munich fifty years ago. But, come the final whistle, City had all the reason they needed to make plenty of noise. That makes me think Wayne Rooney is the most important player for united, when he doesnt play United rarely gets the victory...

well it really isn't but anyway, you have to win easy games too... : palmeiras is not well, but they have a good team, and a good manager, I think its only a matter of time before they start playing well

Hey Diamonds, do you watch the Libertadores? Are Internacional in it this year? Which Brazilian teams are? I was rooting for Santos to win it last year but they lost to Boca. I like Boca but I enjoyed watching Santos play.

[ Further proof that Barcelona are being forced to field weakened sides in league games... three cantera players have been called up for the Sevilla game. Such are the injury problems. 18-man squad v Sevilla Valdés - Pinto Espasandín - Oleguer - Thuram - Milito - Márquez - Abidal Edmilson - Xavi - Iniesta - Víctor Sánchez - Víctor Vázquez Messi - Ronaldinho - Henry - Giovani - Gudjohnsen I'll be happy with a point. Hi Unclesox, how is Henry playing these days? At first when he left Arsenal I thought it was the end of Arsenal. The Gunners seem to be having a better season than last year. Think it will be an interesting end to the season. Especially as Man U and Chelsea both failed to win today!

I have by some lucky stroke of fate ended up with some tickets for the Liverpool Vs Inter Milan champions league game. I'm in disbelief! I don't know much about Inter Milan though, is there any specific player that I should be watching out for?
-
Henry have started playing in Barcelona just not being Henry, kind of not recovered for some injury. He just couldn't run and played walking anyway. Recently he has played two or three games doing as good as always, but he has get so tired he haven't able to play the next game. I guess he's still on recovery of the injury.
-
Anyway, my pointing out the injuries was in response to Diamonds suggesting that Barcelona weren't fielding their best team in recent La Liga games. The reason is because of the injuries, not because Rijkaard is focusing on the knockout tournaments. If Barcelona can advance past Celtic into the quarterfinals and they are behind Real by at least 10 points, then I might agree that the team should look more towards the CL and CdR for silverware this season. But winning both cup tournaments will not make up for losing the league, especially to R?a£ ₥a₫ri₫. La Liga is always the priority.

That he's playing in a tougher league just adds to his dilemma.

It's tough to single out just one player because an argument can be made that Inter have perhaps the strongest squad in Europe, from top to bottom. The depth they have on the bench is scary. Just as last season they're once again the class of Serie A. They probably would've been the previous seasons before that had the league title been awarded to the best team and not the highest bidder. Although their recent domestic success hasn't translated into Europe, it should be noted that the past two seasons Inter were only knocked out of the Champions League via the away goals rule. So they certainly weren't overrun by their conquorers. The biggest name at the moment is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the tall Swedish forward. I believe Julio Cruz is the more dangerous. And Maicon in defence is one of the best today. Recognizable names include Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and Hernan Crespo.

I dont think Maicon is that good... And in my opinion Crespo is not well... I like Cambiasso and Materazzi... But the best player in Inter is definently Ibrahimovic...

Puyol, Deco and Bojan have recovered enough to be included in the squad of 18 that will travel to Zaragoza. Toure Yaya returns from Africa but Samu Eto'o has a thigh bruise and will not feature. 18 man squad for Zaragoza: Valdés, Pinto Puyol, Márquez, Milito, Abidal, Thuram Xavi, Touré, Edmílson, Deco, Iniesta, Gudjohnsen Messi, Henry, Ronaldinho, Bojan, Giovani
