So, it's Manchester United v Chelsea in Moscow. A replay of last season's FA Cup final. : I sense this season's FA Cup final will be more entertaining. And they'll really have to go some to equal the spectacle of last season's all-Spanish UEFA Cup final.
You are right, this years FA Cup Final will be much more entertaining than than the champions league (Chelski v Man Ure)!!! Just waiting for my ticket to drop through the door! Life is on hold and things are reaching fever pitch for Cardiff fans. You must be supporting The Bluebirds unclesox?
Always love to see top flight clubs be given a lesson by lower league opposition. Besides, Wolves are my favorite English team and I still have a soft spot for Dave Jones.

I was totally wrong about the 7 goals. I also thought Barça would score 3 o 4 but the games have been a lot different, you know. Ferguson speculation about Barça can't score about a defense that goes back, etc. All the newspaper in Barcelona have the same headlines "It's over" "This team is over" "End of an era". And all the conversations were about the game and about changing half of the team. It's the end of this team, who was great at least for two years. I think I know who you would feel. When the Galactics started playing badly they kept on winning anyway, then someone told me he has noticing some strange things on the team. That team colapsed in a similar way than Barça. And I remember 1 year and a half ago some friend telling me that Barça was starting to do the same things that the Galactics started to do... I didn't believe, I said they played allright!. And I think the key of it all it's Ronaldinho. It's what happen that we don't understand? Why the best player of the world, stop playing normally, and in the end stop playing, what has happened, some internal problem I guess. Some of the best moments of Ronaldinho's Barça to go down in history. Then the Barça players still lost their markers. Football depends on that to attack. Xavi......................Etoo Rival.....................Rival No pass ...........................Etoo ............................^ Xavi.....................^ Rival....................Rival Good pass

Barcelona hasn't scored in 3 games, even less with Manchester's deffense. By the way, although I live in the States, I'm from Villarreal, and as proud as ever, enjoying the best season of the history of my team so far. I remember going to the games in 3rd division years ago...

Barcelona hasn't scored in 4 of their last 5 games. 7 points taken from their last 9 matches in La Liga. But enough of that crap. I very much admire how far Villarreal have come along in the past decade. Nearly reached the European Cup final in 2006 were it not for Riquelme hitting a poor penalty. Welcome to the board, by the way.

I think Villareal is the team that's doing thing best in the last years. Always in a way up, and brave enough to put Riquelme away.

Do you think they don't want him because of that penalty he missed against Arsenal? He's a great talent and does wonders with Boca and Argentina. Maybe he's just one of those who have a tough time adapting to foreign soil. Villarreal are rumored to be getting Edmilson and Llorente (Valladolid) for next season.

Villarreal has been the team with the best quality of play in the past two-three years. Or, at least, the one that has play decently, regularly. Barcelona was increidible two years ago, but there is nothing left. Real Madrid is...Real Madrid For Villarreal to be about to finish second, a record for this team, the year after selling Forlan and Riquelme is just crazy. To be honest, I did not put my team higher than in the top 6. Even less with Guille Franco upfront lol

If I have a minute before getting out of the office, I will explain to you guys the reason why Riquelme went from being an idol to being kicked out. Llorente, possibly; Edmilson, I hope not. They are also thinking about Jozy Altidore, which would be just awesome, as I am an MLS fan as well.

Ah yes! I heard Altidore mentioned yesterday. I thought Villarreal had a good shot of finishing in the top 6, but not top 4 and a European Cup spot. I was very shocked when they were knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Zenit St. Petersburg, but since then the Russians have never ceased to amaze, culminating with that thrashing of Bayern Munich on Thursday. I had high hopes for Atletico Madrid this season. They haven't done too badly. And just looking at the table now, I'm shocked to see Sevilla in with a chance of getting back into the Champions League for next season. I thought they were dead and buried.

I don't have a clue about the reason Riquelme is out, but I don't think at all that can be because of a penalty. It's kind of a mistery, like Ronaldinho. And it's not about his quality as a football player, there must be some personal stuff, when he plays with Argentina he's the fav player for the argentinians, above Messi, Aguero, etc. But as football is a team game there are things even more important that how you play, that's why I thought Ronie should be out of the team since Christmas (that's when I started to celebrate this league for Real Madrid), when he did what he wanted.... getting back here late, not training at all... OUT even if you're "the best in the world" .

From what I had heard, his 'extracurricular activities' began way before Christmas 2007. It goes back two, three years. Perhaps even further than that because his old coach at Paris SG, Luis Fernandez, wrote in his recent book that Dinho's late night partying was a big reason why the two of them had a strained relationship. That and the type of diet Ronnie employed for himself which, Fernandez felt, wasn't befitting for a footballer. And this was in 2002/03! But Ronnie got away with it at Barça because he was producing on the pitch... and had the desire. That desire left (I felt) after Paris 2006.

Hey Paul, I need your help translating something if possible (please). I understand what this cartoon is saying in general, but I don't understand the one shaker in the middle that says "pasillo". What does that mean/what is it referring to? I looked up "pasillo" and it means "corridor" but I don't understand the joke being referenced.

Well, it's okey that he does "whatever he wants" out of their working time, as everyone. As most of brazilians, for instance have always done, and most of the Spanish too, I guess... I mean stop training and such, not coming back from holidays.

The corridor is one thing that in Spain, at last, every team does before playing when a team that have won a title that year. For instance if Barça won the Champions League this year, the last matches just when entering the field the other teams would do the "corridor", same with League.
I've found this one from Second Division. Barça is supposed to have to do the "pasillo" this Wednesday to Real Madrid at Bernabeu if they become champions tomorrow. -
To be honest, I rather beat Barcelona and get the championship against them than having the cules do the pasillo. It'd be sweeter. What caused Riquelme getting set aside of the team was when he came back from vacation a week after everybody else did. The coach asked for an apology, he didn't give it, and the coach ask for a meeting with him and the president, to set thingfs straight. Riquelme did not attend the meeting, and instead sent his manager. Bad move. The coach and the president took that as an offense, and ever sicne then he has not played. It was something silly that ended up wbeing a major problem.

'Guard of Honour' I think is what they call it in England. Thanks. I have no problem with Barça doing it for Real Madrid. That should be their punishment for their pitiful play this season and hopefully it will drive them to do better for next season. Mind you, I don't have to watch it.

Barca, no titles this season.... Madrid won... As I said long ago

Kind of the very late comeback last Christmas for Ronaldinho. When I knew I started celebrating the league, so I've got nothing to celebrate today. mmm... I prefer to be Champions before playing agaist Barça, I wouldn't like to play that game without being champions and with only 2 games left.

The wooorld will watch it. It's Real Madrid vs Barça, the most expected match every year in Europe. Though now it would look as a friendly game cause Real Madrid has nothing to win and Barça little. But even a Madrid-Barça friendly is unique. AND... the thing I've liked more today is that Real Madrid couldn't score being 11 against 11. Cannavaro, red card.... goal of Osasuna... still Real Madrid couldn't score. Heinze, out injured with no substitutions left... and Real Madrid scores. Now that's kind of normal cause you're losing and you can risk it all for a goal, even being 9 agaist 11. BUT... some minutes after... keep on attacking with 9 against 11, though they didn't need it... As the league classification was, and with two player less... the draw would have been enough for every team in the world... but Real Madrid, that's the difference. The ambition, the fight, the will, the courage, the insatisfaction even... epic ending for the 31st Madrid league. "And we'll keep on fighting till the end... " P.S. I would like to play against Barça in the final of a Champions League but not in that situation. Queen-We are the champions (aka The Real Madrid anthem... it's only an old joke )
