Yay, the Rusty thread is alive and kicking again , still wondering what has happened to his official website.
-
Kimsey:
Does anybody know what has happened to his website? http://www.rustyanderson.com/ It disappeared.
It's back now.

I always find it funny when someone replies to their own post...it just tickles me, even when I do it myself!

Rusty looks amazing in the Liverpool coverage! I can't wait to hear about tour dates

My heart is breaking as I write this. Some of you had the pleasure of knowing Martha, our dear, dear friend who for so long took care of Rusty's website and much much more. Martha had been bravely battling cancer for over a year now, and sadly last night she lost the battle. Martha and I became friends via Rusty, and her friendship was a wonderful gift. We enjoyed such fun at King's Dock in 2003, in LA and at the FEI World Cup in Las Vegas. Her passing leaves a giant empty hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Martha, my dear Sweetie Darling friend, I will miss you. SO SAY IT LOUD AND LET IT RING WE ARE ALL A PART OF EVERYTHING THE PRESENT, FUTURE AND THE PAST FLY FREE, PROUD BIRD YOU'RE FREE AT LAST

Thanks for letting us know the sad news, Corinne. My heart goes out to Martha's family anf friends. May she RIP.

I'm so sad to read this. Her interview with Rusty and her essay called the Decoy Furniture and the other ones about her Beatles fandom are really precious writings. I was just talking about her interview to some of my Hungarian Beatlesfan friends yesterday and I had no idea that she had been ill. She was such a wonderful soul. Rest in Peace, Martha!

I am so sad hearing about this! I didn't know that she was ill however I haven't really spoken to her much after meeting her at Beatlefest in Chicago in 2006. I'm glad that I had a chance of meeting her face to face after many emails going back and forth. God bless her!

Such sad news! Thanks for sharing it with us, Corinne. I know you will miss your friend terribly. We'll all miss Martha's writings and input into our lives. May God be with you and her family.

Rest in peace, Martha My Dear.

I'm sorry to hear about Martha. Maybe she is hanging out with John and George right now, as we speak!... About Rusty: I noticed and got into his changing expressions as he sang backup on Paul's songs in Kiev. He's very expressive and soulful while singing and playing. Brian is more self effacing, not that Rusty is a stage hog himself, he isn't either.

You're right, I noticed that too.

Just to put this thread back to the top , here's the coolest video from the Kiev gig:

I think I got Rusty mixed up with Brian...I meant the man with the darker hair, not the blonde, although the blonde guy is very very effective too. They all are. I've enjoyed reading Martha's writings.

Happy 5th Birthday to the Rusty thread!
