Good to know about the intermission! Has anyone heard anything more on who else will be there to introduce performers, MC, etc? The Jerry Sienfield rumor has me very excited!

For anyone interested in premium seats that missed out on the initial David Lynch offering, there is a charity web site auctioning off a pair of front row tickets in Row AAA, Seats 1-2. It is currently at $2200 and next bid is $3K. There is also a pair in the second row currently at $1100. Don't know how high they will go but the website is charityfolks.com

Howard Stern to introduce Ringo And now, here's Ringo: Howard Stern announced on his radio show Wednesday that he'll be introducing Ringo Starr at the David Lynch "Change From Within" benefit concert April 4 starring Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at Radio City Music Hall. In discussing what his introduction would be, he said he was introduced to meditation by his mother. "I'm gonna go up there and say, 'Listen, I've been meditating since I'm 18 years old. I'm now 55. And meditation was a big thing in my family. It changed our lives, particularly my mother's. My mother was a depressed woman." he said on the air. ... "I like (meditation). I've been doing it ever since. ... And I love them for saving my mother. And I even got to interview the Maharishi twice. Then I'll say the Maharishi was a great man. And I thank him every day for this," he continued. Stern gave high praise to the Beatles. "I believe the Beatles had such an impact on our world that they were truly profound individuals. That's why I get excited when Paul McCartney's here. And John Lennon I felt equally the same way. ... They influenced so many people and touched so many people's lives through their creativity." After a comment was made that with Paul and Ringo in the same building, they've got to be doing something together, Stern alluded to that, but didn't give details. "Well, I've been given certain information about this concert because I'm a part of it. Where I understand big things will be happening." He also make a joking remark that recalls Paul's recent appearance on Stern's show. "I'm gonna steal something from Paul. I'm gonna steal the real guitar that he's playing. I'll be backstage and I'll just grab something." Stern fans know that McCartney gave him an autographed bass guitar for his birthday. From: Beatles Examiner

I posted in broadcast Dear Boy~ notice how they mentioned the beach boys~
Good point--I guess that might lend credence to the rumors about Mike Love showing up? Although I'm not sure how to feel about Mike Love, considering his treatment of Brian Wilson and his drunken mini-tirade against Paul at the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame induction so many years ago. Still, should be entertaining regardless

Mike Love was actually confirmed by the organisation in their first e-mail (February 5). The header was:

Oh, whoa, I never saw that. Weird how they took his name off the list on the DLF website. Thanks.

I just wanted to post a warning....I just found out that the tickets that I received for the Joint concert in Las Vegas, were listed on the Ticketmaster Marketplace resale site for sale. I called Ticketmaster, and after an hour long conversation....they were able to fix the problem. I remember seeing someone on here who also said they saw their ticket seats being listed for sale on the marketplace. According to the guy at Ticketmaster, someone had gone in (hacked in?) and even changed my original order number....but the guy at Ticketmaster was able to back track all of my info, emails...see the timeline and then straighten it out. Some people will do anything to get tickets
wow..good thing you caught it!
My brother was checking out the venue and ticket prices and he caught it. They are taking care of it.

Im still trying to get a pair so I can sit next to my father and I might be resorting to eBay or Stubhub. If this is the case I will be selling my $350 seat in Orch 3. If anyone is interested PM me. -Pete

Congrats to James C. from California for winning the dlf.tv contest. Are you out there? I'd love to see that a Boardie won. I have been considering going against my morals to fund a scalper/broker, which I will have to do soon if I'm going to. The agonies we go through to see Paul, and that man will never know. ops: : Anyone have a face-value ticket to spare?

Hate to admit it, but I haven't been on the boards in a long time. Now I have something to talk about again....Was lucky enough to get a ticket when they went on sale to general public Monday. I took the first available, it was pricey, but thought this show would be once in a lifetime event. Ticket is orchestra section 6, row QQ. Is anyone from the boards near there? I'm roomsharing with friends but they will be going to the after-concert party (paid the big $). If anyone has suggestions on what to do after the show rather than go back to the hotel & sleep I'd like to hear them. I have this PM board to thank for meeting all my Beatlefriends over the years, it's time to get back on it. I've been thinking about this concert so much that I've literally been having dreams about it :

My sister and I will be getting into Penn Station around 4 p.m. on Saturday--we're thinking of going to Strawberry Fields, then grab a pint--anyone interested in getting together pre-concert? Even if not, is anyone aware of a good bar near RCMH? God, I'm so excited about the gig! We're in 1st mezzanine in section 3--anyone near us? (The last time I was in RCMH, it was to see Ringo and the All Starr Band, so I feel like life has come full circle. ) )
-
there's Connolly's http://www.connollyspubandrestaurant.com at 43 W. 54th, next to MPL & 3 blocks from RCMH.

Got so much I've gotta do before I leave, but I've got 3 nights of Macca heaven to look forward to So glad I have something to keep my spirits up.I bloody hate flying but because of him its becoming a regular thing

One week and I can't wait. Anyone have any idea what the format for this is? The tickets say "Paul McCartney & Friends" so does that mean it's a Paul concert with the others joining him for certain songs? If anyone has any info fill me in. Thanks.
