Rusty played a show here in San Antonio? Crap! I knew he was in town to do some sort of guitar workshop-type thing at Redbone Guitars. I saw that in the paper. It made absolsutely no mention of an actaul concert, though. Oh well. I got to hear him On Best of the Beatles, at least. I found thius thread after typing "antonio" in the search thingy just out of curiousity.
Ohhh... that's too bad... I know a little how you feel, I live in California but it seems like most of the time that Rusty has a show I am totally unable to get there for some reason beyond my control. I hope that you get another chance someday -- if you haven't yet gotten to, you would really enjoy seeing him play his own stuff.
Shame. I really like what I've heard on his website/myspace. Maybe he'll comeback sometime.... Here's hoping (for the both of us!).

Yay, the online webcast worked for me in the end and I could watch it. It was amazing and OMG Rusty....he looked wow.... ops: This hairstyle suits him the best.
I'm so glad that you got through and were able to watch afterall !! It really looks like they had fun. As for Rusty all I can say is : Yep! (...and the music was pretty good too...)
Thanks Kristi.

After all, I couldn't watch it online...nothing seems to work for me... Here's a brand new interview with Rusty: http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/paul-mccartneys-guitarist-rusty-anderson-gives-career-advice-213154
Thanks, Kimsey : Great interview! It's nice to see something that goes a little more in-depth... (I just had to laugh when I read the comment about how Rusty felt shaking Paul's hand , as it gave me flashbacks to when I met Rusty not long ago & shook his hand -- let's just say that it was not exactly my most articulate moment! ops: Anyway, I hesitated to tell you this, as I don't want to rub it in since you are missing these shows, but most people I know don't really get it... so I just have to share with people here -- Yippee! I am going to Tulsa! (Gee, hmmm...thats not a line I ever thought I'd type(!) -- no offense meant to those from Oklahoma, as my Dad was born there, and actually I have never been, so I am looking forward to seeing what it's like...). My best friend surprised me and got us great seats (with the sound check! I think my tales of Halifax got to her...) so I am so happy tonight...!
-
Thanks Kristi! I can understand you perfectly. ops: You're so lucky to be able to see them again in Tulsa soon. It's been over a year since I last saw Paul and the Band here in Liverpool... can't wait to see them again...hopefully they'll do a couple of shows in Europe as well. Btw I've never met Paul or the Band...and it doesn't seem likely that I ever will but dreams are so much better than reality anyway.

I think I caught a glimps of him outside the Stadium Saturday afternoon, before the soundcheck. He was with his girlfriend/wife ... along with a private security guard ... he was taking it all in (the new stadium ... didn't look as if he wanted to be bothered). I respected that ... But his signature on the Mets baseball I bought would have been nice ... The thought came too late ... they were all on the move ... btw - thanks for the correction (pm), it was Rusty's wife (he's married). Didn't really know ...

No I wouldn't want to bug anyone in the band-- if it happens sort of naturally to speak to them then it's okay, I mean that's one thing, but otherwise... Since I do spend a lot of time in Southern California even though I live up north -- (duh -- the Disney connection!), I happen to have seen Brian play about 4 times in the last few years and Rusty twice. I went up and spoke to each of them just once after a show, but that's it. In spite of all of our joking around on here recently, I am just not really the "stalker" type... My friend and I have gone to a number of Paul's shows through the years, but we have certainly never made an effort to haunt their hotel, or anything goofy like that... (we didn't even queue up to meet Paul on his book tour... ) I feel like he gives so much in his performances that to ask for an autograph just seemed unnecessary. I mean, they are really just people like everyone else, and also deserve some privacy.

Bring a lawn chair to Fullerton. The stage is a portable, on a large grass lawn area. There will be food vendors there, and they have picnic style tables and chairs, but they're to the side of the stage. See you there!

Finally! Cool, glad that I can get it before I leave for Alaska... Love the look of the website too...

Just really looked at the album cover -- amusing that the script that Rusty's name is in is practically Disney script -- perfect for an Orange County kid...! Well, off to finish packing for Alaska... I still can't believe that Paul ends up touring here for the first time in 4 years right when I have this trip planned. What were the odds? I hope that everybody here enjoys Rusty's show on the 29th, as well. Post photos if you get the chance --
