I have a feeling they did it this way to keep the scalpers from buying them all up. I don't know though..I did get tickets though! My friend bought myself and her a ticket so I am forever in her debt.
I am glad you are able to go, is this the friend that is sick, is she going to have her chance to go?? I am sorry about Willow, and it is hard but the right thing to do!

Yes, it's her. She is definitely going since Charlotte is so close.

Hmm.... Purchase confirmation e-mail says, explicitly, "Seat numbers allocated no less than 24 hours after purchase*". Ticketing site, and my most recent online confirmation, says "Please be aware that seat numbers will be allocated on a first come first served basis no more than 24 hours after purchase". So which is it? Hoping for the latter!

Well I hope ya hear sooner rather than later (and let us all know!) as what happened w/ Charlotte may help me decide what I want to try for KC (assuming things will be the same on Wed) . . .it just makes me really freaked to buy tix on the floor and not know whether I have Row 2 or Row 20 :

I wish at least the row #s were available, but for someone of Paul's stature as an artist and pop culture icon, the fact that for 5 hours anyone who is paying attention can basically pick their section (from a list of excellent ones and price points) ahead of everyone else and basically guarantee themselves an excellent seat (1st 5 rows? maybe not, but still...) cheaper than TM, knowing that this will sell out on Saturday, I frankly think this system is as fair as any. Damn that's a long sentence.
Some people have jobs, I need at least a days notice so I can be home for the pre-sale. Scalpers had at least six hours today before I got home from work. Hope they don't do another pre-sale like this again!
-
Extra ticket in Section 3 if anyone is interested. PM me.

Completely agree with you on the notification thing - especially putting a "corporate" (AMEX) presale ahead of an artist's own presale. Putting that aside (i.e. having just sprung this on people), you can still go buy floor seats and lowers adjacent to the stage - 8 hours later. Just would have been nice to know that option was going to be there, and to have it be before the VIPs/Golds/AMEXs went online.

PM.com tickets are a different set of tickets from TM.com's. From the past presales we learned that unless you buy a VIP package you aren't getting good seats with the Amex presale, but for the PM.com one you were getting seats in the first 5 rows.

sure they are different blocks, but it helps to KNOW about the presale in advance. I can't access crowd surge from work... I learned about this about 20 minutes into it. ARGH! Please whoever is running the presales we need to know in ADVANCE.

I know gnome, I wasn't even at home when this was going on and happened to be browsing on my phone.

Hi, I have a question about getting tickets for my wife and four kids - this website says "maximum of 4 tickets per household" but I need a total of 6 all of us - would it be a problem if I ordered 3 tickets for myself and two kids using this website and another 3 tickets for my wife and other two kids using Ticketmaster. I know the seats won't be together but at least we could all go.

I got your text Lynne, and my phone's battery was so low it wouldn't let me read it. I'm charging it as we speak. My battery life fails on that thing.

It wouldn't be a problem if you can afford it.

I believe that the P1 P2 P3 etc. refers to Price levels but it's totally bizarre they are not giving you the exact location of the seat!

Haven't seen Crowdsurge but TM says: Ticket Limit There is a 4 ticket limit on the VIP Packages and the AMEX preferred seating presales. There is also a 4 ticket limit per household for the public onsale. I interpret that as a 4 ticket limit *period*, no matter if you buy them from Crowdsurge or TM and no matter what sale you use (presale or regular (public) sale. and per household means address, so you cant' use your credit card for one set and your wife's for the other, unless you have different mailing addresses for the credit cards. So you can give it a try but you would run the risk of two of your tickets being cancelled because you went over the limit. Never happened to me personally but I know TM has done it. Best to try and find a friend to buy you the extra seats...

I am 100% positive that the crowdsurge and TM household limits are completely separate. Two different entities - and one doesn't care about the other. My main concern with your plan would be whether you would be anywhere near each other or even if you can get TM tickets in the general onsale at all (I assume those will go very fast).

After much agonizing and wringing of hands, I jumped in and bought 2 tickets for section 113. Anxious to find out what row we'll be in. I called the venue and that section goes back to row R or S (I forget which).
-
I don't think they even know the rows and number of seats yet.
