Trying to nail some late era Queen, somehow in that mood.
That's when Freddie gets funny ("he-he-heyyy""ye-ye-yeahhh"), the most tragic the thing became, the funnier he became. this is the last song Freddie sung...
from 2.35 on, it just defines Queen, Freddie's singing in "what an extraordinary place" and "it's all so beautiful", the harmonies in "the dream of the child is the hope of the man" and Brian May's playing -
Love that song. I learned 'Innuendo' the other day on the semi acoustic. Not quite there yet somehow though.. Perhaps you should give me some tips on getting that Spanish flair right.

well, I don't think so... I never play the acoustic of the Spanish guitar... Well, Brian May didn't play the acoustic part but the guitar player of Yes... and that part is not played the "flamenco" way much... But Brian May's electric guitar is much more flamenco like... that's the most surprising think of the song, breaking limits in rock and roll, like the Beatles did... Freddie said Innuendo was the best song of Queen. Well, I don't know but sure is one of those songs that are "as big as life". So big Queen needed extra-musicians... I asked audi to do it... but I guess we would need a big collective effort to do this one... BTW, I've sometimes thought of doing a collective free-spirited recording... I've thought of 2 options: -Rockestra Theme.... someone records the background (piano) and then everyone willing adds guitar, drums, or vocals, to create a big mess of sond, you know a rockestra, the more instruments the better Paul and all the rest doing it
Some Japanese guys doing it live Paul and others live -option 2, more trippy and improvisated... The Beatles recorded Tomorrow Never Knows using a Lennon melody and simply "adding things" created by each Beatle so, someone sings the melody just like John did, and then everyone adds over the recording just whatever he wants... The Beatles talking bout Tomorrow Never Knows Another take The Beatles did of the song -

Hi, folks, I'd like to share a little story with you... Today has been my first (and probably last) day singing in a choir. Some friend of mine joined this new choir recently and asked me to join... Though he told me he was so bored that was thinking of quitting... I wanted to try anyway, for the sake of being able to say "Yes, I tried that" So I went to the teacher/choir director and tell her I wanted to join. She wanted me to do vocal exercises going up to classify my voice or so. I went higher, and higher and higher with her, so she had to stop and asked If I was doing that effortlessly. And yes, comfortable, no effort. So she didn't make me go even higher, and told me to place myself "with the tenors" ...I wanted someone with great experience to classify my voice... cause some have told me I'm a bass, some than I'm a bariton, some than I'm a tenor... and there's even other possible things... I don't think I'm a tenor but "with the tenors" is enough information for me. That's the good part of the story. The choir itself has been really boring... so simple and cold. Actually my friend has quitted today, bored of the thing. I was bored too, but the thing worrying me is that I couldn't hear myself... Yes, I could but making the notes louder... then I feel uncomfortable... The teacher didn't told me I was doing anything wrong about singing skill when I was singing as usual... (neither at the "voice classification" or at the choir...). So I don't know a way to fix the problem of not hearing myself without singing uncomfortably. Me:"I don't like to sing that way" She:"I know" Next week I'll ask the teacher if there's a way I could sing hearing myself, or if there's anything that I'm doing wrong... but I feel that simply... that's not the world I belong to. 2: Hey Evie, the last song we did was Scarborough Fair... you would have liked to be there... (or maybe not...)

The teacher said "and now we're gonna do an Irish song...", and I thought "with or without you?" and it was Scarborough Fair... but the bass line was not what Paul Simon sings... very confusing.

The austrian music scene is exploding at the moment, it has never been as good as it is at the moment and i think the video kind of captures the mood... everything`s exciting!I think I like this one and I must listen to it again. Nothing much to say, karaoke night yesterday. 1. Largo Al Factotum
2. Trouble (some centuries ahead in time...) 3. Black or White (and 30 years after...) 4. Don't Stop til you get enough (me doing the "answers" and some friend doing the falsetto voice :lol 5. Hey Jude (yes, with crazy screamings at the end, a bit more like the Cincinatti's version on TOTLF... :lol -
Sam Leach is not only promoting a model, but lots... I don't know if he'll ever get back to rock and roll. In the meantime he's the manager of lots of models, he's got pics with Miss Universe, etc... Well, if he has such a good eye with models as with rock and roll bands (The Beatles, Queen, Elo, etc), then Denise Milani is on his way out...

Now I've listened again... and I think is terrific. The best thing coming from Austria since Wolfy (W.A. Mozart). I think I'm kreiskymaniac now.

Hello. Today I've quitted the choral. I explained all about to the director and there's no way to fix it. I'm not gonna hear myself well at all. I would have to learn the way of singing without listening to myself... Mostly I would have to learn that all by myself, and only to use it there, it doesn't make much sense. I asked if there's something I could fix in the technique, and no, there's nothing to fix. It's only I can't control myself when I can't listen to myself. As far as I know, all the singers sing better if they can listen to themselves, so I don't think learning "to sing like if I was deaf" could be a great idea... And story 2 is that tomorrow I'll be on the queue for the Barcelona's casting of "Spanish Idol" ("Operacion Triunfo" really... but you know what I mean). No, not that, I'm not gonna sing at all. I'm just gonna support some friend of mine that will take part in all that... It's gonna be fun, thousands of people singing in the queues, music people, TV... 2: (who would have told myself I would be coming out of a choral and then next day in the queues of Spanish Idol... :lol
-
I was on the queues of Spanish Idol casting, and it was quite disapointing, there's much more singing in a Paul's concert queue than there... Karaoke "setlist" yesterday: -I gotta feeling (the Black eyed peas one), "autotune" version, singing with the nose to cause the same singing -Get back, classic get back, nothing special -Whole lotta love, steamy version... it got me in the mood for the next one -You can leave your hat on

cool that you like it... there are so many great groups these days and for the first time the young people do get it; we`re all kind of getting famous, the records are getting airplay, the gigs are selling out, papers writing about us; it`s really a kind of hype that started this year... all things that would have been impossible for austrian indie bands a few years ago... another great band are velojet; here`s a video from their last release show which i also attended. they are good friends of my label bands and have collaborated with some of them; this is my favourite song of theirs:
umm and oliver since you are a fan of freddie mercury; the singer of kreisky is even more famous than for being in kreisky for being a freddie mercury impersonator; he`s doing stand-up comedy (combining austrian lyrics with queen music) and calls himself AUSTROFRED; have a look -

now, I'm kreiskymaniac and austrofredmaniac hey, it was about time people would get it and you'll get famous in the end (Sam Leach would say "eventually..."). Now it's quite a time where people doubts about what has been happening all these past years and questions everything, so they're much into indie again and not into the typical media idols, you know... They won't get fooled again!, well, not soon... The scenario of some years ago and before is gone. And in the end it would be a change for the better... (though most of the people now don't believe it) Yeah, maybe I'm getting too "whatever", but it was all meant to be. I wrote here in this thread this thing in October 2008, the big stock crash and the end of some era. The end of capitalism (as we know it, not the end of money or so... no way ). Some English doesn't make sense but you can sing along with it... maybe we need Austrofred to sing it... or Spelvis or whoever... long, long time ago... I can still remember How my statements used to make them laugh But I knew it's only a good change That I could make those people see it And, maybe, they'd be happy about it now. But October made us shiver With every paper they deliver. Bad news on the TV; I could not take one more then. I can't remember if I cried When I read about the banks collapse, But something touched me deep inside capi...talism died. So bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born Did you hear the words of lords, And do you have faith in them above, If the TV tells you so? Do you believe in rock 'n roll, Can music save your mortal soul, And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that you're scared like me `cause you don't want to see TV. We all had turn our heads. that's the proof that it is dead. I was an unemployed accountant guy With a lot of songs to be recorded, But I knew better times will come Capitalism died. I started singin', bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, and no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born For twenty years we've been going down working more but having less, And that's not how it used to be. When the man can't buy the man can't sell And the loan he borrowed from the bank was the money that it came from you and me, Oh, and while the thing was going down, They tried some electroshocks. The medicians was hurrying; No remedy really working. And when Bush partially became Marx, decided to socialize the banks, we knew a new thing was found capitalism died. We were singing, bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born Helter skelter sung like going crazy. lords announced it's a new system, The stock market it's falling fast. We landed on another system The players tried to guess how it'll be, But things just changed from day to day Now the hope for me is sweet perfume We're gonna dance to another tune. We all got up to dance, we never had the chance! `cause the players tried to take the field; The financials refused to give. Do you recall what was revealed Capitalism died bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born From contracts to contracts we went , A generation lost in space With no time left to start again. So come on: change be nimble, jack be quick! Change please let the sunshine in Deliver us from darkness that's around . Oh, and as I watched him on the stage My hands were clenched in fists of rage. We had to sing again we're saying Give peace a chance. And as the flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite, I saw the old system saying goodbye capitalism died. He was singing, bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born I met a girl who sang the blues And she asked for some happy news, But I just smiled and turned away. I went down to the sacred web from who I'd heard the music years before, And the man there said the music would still play . And in the streets: the children played, The lovers kissed, and the poets created. forgeting that October; when some strange thing was over. And it was just a brand new world: as that old world was brand new once, Nothing lasts forever, sure... Capitalism died. And they were singing, bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song this'll be the day I'll be born, this'll be the day I'll be born bye-bye, in the American land. plan the government to run all banks, with no more business hands And them good old boys had just learn the new song singing this will be the day I'll be born. -

i dreamed i was scarlett johanssen and i'd lost my pocketbook and was absolutely frantic...that same old lost my bag nightmare, with a big twist, i suddenly was or looked like scarlett. must be 'cause i kept watching my 'vicky cristina barcelona' dvd--i love that flick. also loved scarlett in woody allen's 'scoop' ('vicky cristina' is a woody allen film, too). i realized scarlett's one of my favorite actors. i adore javier bardem in the vicky cristina movie. those evil old coen brothers had tried to ruin javier for me in 'no country for old men' (i didn't see that, man i can't watch stuff like that) svenn when i saw the tony awards on t.v. i realized scarlett is in 'after the fall' by arthur miller, on broadway. you could have seen her in person if you came over and caught that play. those jealous bastards didn't nominate her for a tony

Well, I think Scarlett won some award this week. I mean a award because of acting, nothing about looks. Well... or should I say.... we-e-e-e-e-llll Happy 68th birthday to Paul McCartney, greatest musician ever (probably). Celebration
