Check out Rusty's brand new website!
Oh, it's cool. Love the sundial... noticed still no lyrics,yet... but the guitar porn was entertaining in the video links ... and the gallery was good. I thought that the black and white shots were cool; the one with Rusty and Wix and then the one of Abe. I think that might be the coolest photo of Abe that I have seen. And the site makes sense -- I mean, it's clear what things are but it's also got an original twist -- Nice!
Gorgeous website! I love the sundial too (notice the "heart" and "soul" writing at its ends), the background photos, the video, the gallery, the language...

Not sure if I will be able to make it either, Jena... will try, though. I know it's aimed more at other guitarists, but can't resist the opportunity to try to see Rusty and his band play...

Well, unless he recently got married, or has a new girlfriend, I can tell you that he was involved with a dark haired, very nice gal named Renee. I met her in 2005 and she was very sweet and friendly. She even offered to take the pic that I have in my siggy line for me. It was taken in Miami, and about 6 months later I just so happened to be sitting next to her in Vegas, and she recognized ME... Once again, she was very friendly, talkative, and not the least bit uppety or worried about her guy with his and Paul's fans. That's about all I know.... she seems to be a sweetheart with a fantastic memory!!!!

Rusty was the dj last night for an hour on thesoundla.com radio. He played songs among others by the Rolling Stones:Route 66, Paul McCartney:Little Lamb Dragonfly, Jeff Beck, the Yardbirds, Elvis, etc.. and he also played two of his own songs Born On Earth and Where Would We Go?. It was great! You can get the entire playlist here: http://www.thesoundla.com/?nid=11

Hey, Kimsey, well, I did make it to Rusty's event, (barely,my flight was delayed 3 hours! ) he did a great job in the interview sections; he was charming, and funny and bright. (And his hair looked great ) The band was good, it must have been a little intimidating in such a small, well lit venue. Crowd responded well, and I think everybody had a good time. There seemed to be a fair number of people who were new to Rusty's music, so that was cool. They raffled off a Rusty signed guitar, it went to a Frenchman who was there with his family, he was really happy. I had to leave right after the show, So I didn't get to talk to Rusty. (I actually heard from my boss during the show : We have a meeting with the City Manager tomorrow first thing and I had to run back to the hotel to get some info. I know that I should just be grateful to HAVE a job right now, but I sort of feel like my job is just really draining my Spirit... we deal with so many people in distress, staff hours are cut again for part-timers, and the rest of us are sinking under the strain of too much to do. ) Anyway, I was lucky to get to go at all, I know. I was sorry to not have the chance to look around for any boardies, just the way things worked out... I'm sure someone else can give the setlist. I have to turn in; the airport shuttle is picking me up at 3am, for a 6am flight, ugh!

Thanks for your review, Kristi! I'm sorry you had to run after the show but you are so lucky to have witnessed such a special gig! Oh btw if you click on the soundla link I posted earlier you'll find this great video of Rusty talking about music and teaching. He is so well spoken, expressive and intelligent.
