Why can't a performer speak out in America? Shooting your mouth off!! This must be reserved for the" exclusive" Tea Partier?
Not sure what you're getting at. Performers can speak out in America. In fact quite a few of them are bombastic windbags and sanctimonious blowhards par excellence.
-
only the ones who support the GOP

It is not reserved for them, but it should be. They seem to have the only voice of reason and sanity remaining.
-
Wow -- you don't Sheryl Crowe is a blowhard?
-
And what reason is that? Sara Palin? Is this the reason ? Or those goofy hats with the tea bags hanging off them is sane?? Political satire is a form of entertainment. Lots of musician are proud card carrying liberals and they want to show it. Jesus was a Liberal. So what? I agree we need a three party system. However little GOP isn't the answer

I don't know -- I just happened to think of her as an example. there are a lot of others who grandstand at least as much as she does. I just remember her from that tour she did with Laurie David a few years ago, riding around in a big bus to harrangue people about cutting down their carbon footprints.
-
Come to think of it, it was actually Laurie David who was really annoying. Sheryl didn't have much to say when I saw them on TV -- maybe because Laurie didn't leave time for anyone else to get a word in edgewise. So maybe Sheryl's not so bad.

There is another issue I have reservation about?manmade global warming. I do believe we need to be responsible with the environment, but to go to the lengths some of the extremists have gone and to stray from true science just to force an agenda on us. It is nauseating and economically suicidal at best.I dare not think of the worst part of it. They seem to ignore scientific evidence in order to transfer wealth into the pockets of the elite from the backs of the poor. Most of the activists from the political elite who force this agenda do it from some big gas guzzling vehicle or aircraft while living in multi-million dollar mansions that create more pollution in a month then the average citizen can create in a life time. How?s that for a carbon footprint?

Time to admit Obamanomics has failed Examiner Editorial August 8, 2010 It's no coincidence that Christina Romer, chairwoman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, announced her retirement the day before Friday's brutal unemployment report. With 131,000 more jobs lost in July, and downward revisions of 97,000 for the previous two months, it's easy to see why she would start looking for the exits. complete article: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/Time-to-admit-Obamanomics-has-failed-1008050-100154469.html

based on his teaching he believed in taking care of the sick. Left supports health care for all Americans. He was for tolerances certainly the Dem are a more inclusive organization. He was for peace. The Right not so much. Jesus threw the money lender off the steps of the temples..the GOP is backed heavily by banking donation and have sold out our country to them and wall street. Really taking care of your fellow man is pretty much the sum of it.. GOP is for taking care of the corporation and have forsaken the working class. The Democrat at least were trying to get some of the money into the hands of the little people who earned the money. Health care reform means none of us will ever be forced to work for health care in loo of wages.. Corp. america loves having a control over benefit they can use to keep wages down.. if your child sick your hardly going to ask for a raise or could you quit you job. Health care for far too long has become a way to scare americans into submission..

what is going on right now with the economy is bank controlled and caused. Banks took the bailout (put in place by Bush) and once they got there hand on the money, they quit lending. what there pulling right now is criminal.. I just pended a house.. they appraised it for 35,000 less than what the buyer agreed to pay. Who, I may add, has been looking for 3 years and looked at 30 homes before making a offer. Why? because the banks have put into place restriction so ridged that it impossible for the market to recover.. If a house sells higher than the last it won't appraise. So if a lender is needed for the deal the seller's choice is to lower there price or buyer bring more money into the deal.. however the banks owned property are rejecting low ball offers and their stuff is appraising. Average marketing time is 6-12 months in most areas yet bank will only except 3 months back for comps. Waterview now can be worth no more than a golf course view by 10%. What happen free enterprise.. Its only free when a lender, backed by tax payers money, calling the shots.. Yet 2 bankowned condo sold for 60 and 100 dollars more per ft and they appraised and they don't have any law changes saying condo can't sell for more than 10% over a house... A house cost way more to build than a condo. Why the hell is a condo getting 300 a foot for no garage and a crap box finish anyway, is questionable. I guess because the banks going to risk losing money on their project so they can control the values.. Free Enterprise!!! When this country does away with corp controlled enterprise than we talk about voting in another Rep in or the Rep want to be's in. How come gas prices are not dropping? There going up? How come none of you are OUTRAGED that BP oil's profited 88 billion in one quarter? You want to put people back to work, start cutting the cost of doing business. Everyone has to pay their taxes.. Corp taxes are unfair their not paying there share of taxes. Right now the self employed person is the one who bearing the burden for the whole economy, no one bailing him out, no health care, can't write off what it cost him for health care anyway. If he gets sick there goes his health care because they'll cancel it. No unemployment for the self employe. If he misses a payment banks will take his in 90 days. If he breaks the law. He in jail faster than fast and , unlike Enron CEO's he be in jail until proven innocent. double standards in this country for the haves and have not.. Stop worrying about what rock and roller has to say and worry about what going on in Washington DC right now. Everyone who is not paying taxes are getting bailed outs. Now the cops and teachers.. like we can't do away a few cops in this country.. but than who would write all those speeding tickets the local government uses to subsidized their wages and benefits.

Those wacky Democrats wishing Palin was on the plane with Sen. Ted Stevens... http://dailycaller.com/2010/08/11/new-hampshire-candidate-wishes-palin-and-levi-johnson-were-in-plane-crash/

Without getting too conspiratorial, it all goes back to the premise that the two party system has become like WWE wrestling, it's all theater and marketing. Both parties are beholden to the same military industrialist and financial puppet masters, but in order to keep most of the average citizens divided and in line, they have to create narratives that make it seem like each party is a different entity so the people will divide themselves up and go at each other while the real raping and pillaging takes place. The good guys versus the bad guys (depending on who your favorite wrestler, er I mean party is). So the Republicans marketed themselves as the party of "fiscal conservatism", while the Democrats marketed themselves as the party of the "little people", regardless of whether either was true in real world terms. Under both parties' rule, the debt has always continued to grow, military imperial spending and posturing has always continued unabated, bankers and elite financial interests have always been propped up, bailout out or backstopped, and the only functional differences have been minor peripheral ones, just enough to keep the lumpenproletariat convinced there is some massive fundamental divide. The grand triumph of rhetoric and marketing.

Obviously closer to #2, then. Jesus was apolitical (Appletart, that means he was not political). He taught personal responsibility, charity and love for one's neighbor. He never preached in favor of big government confiscating what one person has earned and giving it to someone who hasn't earned it. He never encouraged anyone, particularly an able-bodied person, to become dependent on big government. Everything you talk about pertains to Big Government taking away one's independence and personal responsibility, and getting its tentacles ever tighter around your throat. That is liberalism, and Jesus never went anywhere near it. Regarding political donations from corporations, you may be interested to know which candidate received BP's biggest donations in 2008. (Hint: it wasn't John McCain.)

Why did Jesus throw the "money lenders" outta the temples? Perhaps because they were conducting their work in the house of the LORD? It had NOTHING to do with WHAT they were doing....rather, the problem was all in the WHERE.
-
jesus threw the money changers out of the temple because it is supposed to be a place for congregating charitableness..........not commerce
