I know from personal experience that if you ask this question too long at a church, you will be asked to leave.

WTF? I don't understand this? Someone please explain it to me!
Dead Peasant insurance??? I don't understand this either? This was a real woman with a real family! Ah! I'm beginning to understand: Like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix, I'm beginning to wake up . . . -
Frankly, I see no wrong in churchs asking for support. I do see misguided notions in those thinking that everything is "free" imo.

Why do popular performers think that because people enjoy their music and buy their cd's that people really want to hear there idiotic political opinions?
The same reason you think we want to hear your idiotic political opinions? Free speech, my friend. Just because they are celebrities doesn't mean they can't voice their opinions on the matter.
I don't think you want to hear my political opinions that's why didn't list any. Everything I listed is a political FACT. Pay attention!
Sorry, I kind of stopped reading and taking you seriously after you asked that idiotic question.

only the ones who support the GOP
I just thought of another entertainer who doesn't support the GOP and is a hypocritical gas bag: Steve Earle. I like his music, but last December a friend of mine and I went to see him perform at a place in New York. He and whoever his current wife is got up there and bashed George Bush and talked about how they couldn't wait for Obama to get into office. He said that if Obama didn't get the troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan right after he got into office, he (Earle) would be "out there protesting just like I am today" or something to that effect. I did a quick search just now and I haven't seen any mention of his having said anything about the war since Obama took office. He ran on and on for quite a while and in the first half hour of his show he had managed to do only about 2 or 3 songs. He was showing no signs of letting up, so we just left. The only redeeming feature of the show was that he has apparently cultivated a "ridiculous hillbilly" look -- a little bit like Ernest T. Bass from the Andy Griffith Show. Which was good for few laughs, but hardly worth the cost of admission.

Man! That could have come straight from some Politician's gob!
-
Since this is the political thread, i think it's reasonable to ask this question here: At the beginning of "Listen to What the Man Said", what is Paul (or Dr. John, or whoever the hell that is) saying about Harry Reid?

Letterman Jabs Obama

Letterman Jabs Obama
How many times did letterman jab bush when bush was in office? Why has letterman jabbed bush more times than obama by virtue of their relative time in office? After 8 years of the recent bush administration...and after 8 years of an obama administration. Who do you think that letterman will have bashed more...and why?

A Huffington Post article says it all ... "It looks like Letterman's confidence in the President is fading. Well, if anything, Obama still has two more years to win him over." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/25/letterman-obama-can-vacat_n_694084.html
