i want to do all 4 shows in canada and i get ONE CODE TO WINNIPEG 3 HOURS past the onsale time. this thread better blow up with all that is happening because i have talked with 20+ MEGA tour fans and no one got a 10am code, most got waiting list!
THIS. DID. NOT. WORK. STOP THIS FAN VERIFED IMMEDIATELY.
Oh NO! Hope you're able to get into the shows you wanted!
-
VF and VIP are independent, at least for the QC show. Just got a Hot Sound even though my VF code is for 1 PM. Woohoo!
-
Just bought a VIP package for Quebec without any code !!!!
-
Don't ask me how, but I found a link for Montreal VIP packages (Front Row, Hot Sound, diamond, Gold, Silver, etc) - no code needed.
https://evenko.ca/en/events/14297/paul-mccartney/bell-centre/09-20-2018
I have 8th Row Center...HAPPY! (Gold Seats)
Hope a Stand-By gets the 1 pm code I won't be using!!!
-
So happy for you all that you didn’t need a code for VIP seats! Hope it is the same for U.K. etc.

I totally agree with you! By any chance do you have an AMEX card? It can be used at 10 am pre-sale.
i do have an amex, geernally those are block off tickets not premium tickets. also can we consolidate these fan verified threads? a united front so to speak. my only hope for canada is the VIP tickets are NOT fan verifed but i called TM twice and they said they were. UK said they were not. i dont know who to beleive and what to expect. all i know is i have one sad code waaaaaay after presale for 1 show while this happened friday. fan verified doesnt work, TM is tied in with stub hub. its a joke.
over 500 tickets on stub hub and the alike for Edmonton on FRIDAY!!!!!!
Oh. What a freaking mess! Also, the sale times are BST, so what time zone you are in will determine what perhaps crazy time in the morning you have to get up (or stay up late) if you want to try at 10 am.
P.S. I wrote to one of the Mods about merging this thread with the Ticket questions thread.
Quoting myself to say I was thinking the U.K. tickets were going on sale today too.
ehwalled, did you get VIP tickets?

But WHY do they have to make some people have near heart attacks? They should have explained this up front.

My Mum has just received an email saying she’s been selected as a verified fan for tomorrow’s pre sale for London. Can I use her deets to buy tix for myself?
-
update: just received a junk email to say i’m on the waiting list. What the heck? I’ve bought countless macca tickets on my account and my Mum is a first time purchaser. Disappointing!

I'm in Montreal and registered for the 'Verified Fan' pre-sale. I'm a long time subscriber to Paul's newsletter and received an invitation to the pre-sale. I thought that the pre-sale was a special invite to true fans, but after registering, I received a separate e-mail from the local promoter Evenko, inviting me to register. Evenko promotes almost all of the large events in Montreal, so their subscriber list is huge. So what appeared originally to be a favour to fans, turned into a free for all. That is why the disclaimer regarding demand exceeding supply appeared. In the end, I was selected, but given an opportunity to buy tickets only 3 hours after the opening of the pre-sale, at which time $309 tickets at the back of the arena were the only ones left. When I tried to change the quantity from 4 tickets to 2 tickets, no more 1st level tickets were available. What surprised me further was that the pre-sale was advertised as being by Ticketmaster, but I was directed to an Evenko website to purchase. This is not the first time that I've been registered to buy tickets from Evenko, and despite being available at the first second of the opening of the sale, been put into a "queue" where I had to wait until all of the good tickets were gone. Is the system fair? I guess someone has to get there first, but the manipulation by Evenko, rather than by a first come/first served system invites suspicion. Irksome.

I voted YES based on the numerous complaints and problems people had this am.
I had my doubts about this "lottery" and hoping it's not like this for US dates. VIP tickets were avaible without a code but some had problems finding the section to buy them.
It's stressful enough buying tickets the usual way-but this sounds awful!

Indeed, another anti-fan measure.

Pood for Paul,
Even worse than you think. After registering, you have to wait until the night before to receive news by e-mail as to whether you were "chosen" or not. Then the next day, you receive two text messages on your phone, one giving you a passcode, the other a link to go to the webpage for purchase. We actually cancelled my wife's minor medical procedure because it conflicted with the pre-sale and had to re-schedule for a month later. In the end, I was so disappointed that I did not purchase, deciding instead to take my chances and get into the queue for the General sale on Friday.

I've also got an email saying I'm on the waiting list as did my wife.
Hoping I don't need a Verified Fan code as I'm going straight for the SSE pre-sale for Glasgow tomorrow morning.

Signed up for VF for all 4 Canadian shows and all 3 in the UK. Got a code for exactly....ZIP!!!! Waiting list for all! This from someone who has been to about 50 Paul concerts. Ticketbastard has truely hit an all time despicable low!
Thankfully the AMEX presale came through for Canada. We'll see tomorrow for the UK. I do know VIP tix will be available without a code but not looking to pay those prices not knowing if that annoying small stage is still there in front.

Good luck! Please let us know how good were the seats available on the SSE pre-sale, and if all sectors were offered.

You can, but you must buy using her Ticketmaster account. The code only works in her account, not in yours or anyone else's.

What does SSE stand for?
