I recall reading the Earth is overdue for another Ice Age...wouldn't that nicely assuage and quell the hurtling of our Planet to total "Hot House Hell" which we're seeing now with the extreme heat waves and all the horrendous fires ? Although an "Ice Age" sounds rather frightening, too. Yikes !

Why don't people like Freedom?
-
It's a pretty good song (Freedom), used to think it's kind of a wholesome "camp fire" sing along ditty, lightweight, but appreciate it more now, it's jaunty, perky, upbeat, with a worthy message and the video to it is heart warming

A really nice day mid 80's (Fahrenheit) with low humidity. As it cools off ... the sound of the crickets are so good to hear, but the mosquitos will probably make me go in sooner than I want to go in...dang it.
A good weekend to all ....

It will be both. Summers will be hotter and hotter. Winters will be colder and colder. The real world experts will tell us there's still time to fix it even after we've passed the point of no return. Doing something is always better than panicking.
The internet amateurs will say stupid things like, "We need some global warming" while people freeze to death in winter and, "Where's that Ice Age they promised?" while the world is on fire. They'll never realize why their corporate masters want them to wallow in ignorance.
Most people will simply accept it. Unlike movies, climate change is gradual. The Earth isn't going to just split open one day. The brushfires will slowly spread farther than last year, the typhoons will slowly get bigger and people will say, "Back in my day, we only had to walk through 15 feet of snow in April."

I think leaf blowers should get replaced by vacuums. All leaf blowers do is blow your stuff onto someone elses property. I've thought that for awhile now just when I see landscapers doing it. But today my neighbor was blowing the leaves onto my property so I just made a little noise & made myself visible & he stopped. I guess he didn't want to be actually caught in the act.

Just heard a new Fuh ing song by Paul.
Those who have heard it or have seen the video will know what I mean.

Yeah, that's a catchy tune with a funny line to be singing as you're walking around the house. lol

Agreed, I can't stand leafblowers! They are such polluters too!

Leaf vacuums exist, but they're generally more expensive than blowers, less powerful and take longer. With a blower, you can put all your leaves into a pile, assuming it's not windy, and bag the leaves at your convenience. Or simply blow the leaves into your neighbor's yard. With a vacuum, you have to stop and change the bag often and you can't separate tasks. Vacuums are better for the environment, but blowers are easier for lazy people.

I can't get Twitter these past two days and today, is anyone else having problems with it?
-
I've owned various models of iPhones for 10 years. This morning was the first time I've ever cracked a screen. Thank goodness for Apple Care!

Twitter is extremely slow at loading even on my Kindle Fire. Not sure why. They probably need ro update their social media page or something.

An auditory "hallucination" is caused by sound of fans going on high in the room; it sounds like a huge chorus of opera tenors singing on and on and on...I have to have fans going on high when it's so hot. We lack air conditioning in most rooms. I should sit outside the den in the sun room, since even in the steamy Southern U.S.A. semi tropical summers, it's often cool at night. I could sit out there in a comfy chair with a light on, there are outlets that work; and read or listen to music or watch dvds. I ought to take advantage of the perks in this big house my parents left us. The house is not like it was when they were here. It's become a bit run down in some aspects, since we can't afford to do a lot of repairs. We live without some things that many people would find surprising and dismaying to do without. But an advantage is the bills are reduced. And we're inspired to be quite resourceful, and practical.

Ouch, I had it happen to me a few years ago. A speedy recovery and may you soon not know which foot had the broken toe. (* The doctor who set my toe said that to me).

Thank you Fool and Oobu! Still in the painful stage, but I know it will take some time to fully heal!
