Hey Grandude Book Signing
-
Any boardies going to attempt the book signing at Waterstones Piccadilly on September 6th? Tickets go on sale on Mon!
-
I would give my eye teeth to be there! I hope itâs not required that you bring a child or grandchild!
-
Paul is looking great! Â Â Can't wait to read the book.

Lol, that's what I was thinking.

I donât think it is! On the terms and conditions it says something like âup to 2 childrenâ and something along the lines of âif you wishâ so I assume children are not compulsory!

I'm going to try & get a ticket on Monday! Travel over 5 hours on the train & spending a lot of money in staying in an extortionate city just to meet Paul McCartney for 20 seconds?! Count me in
-
It's only 1 adult per ticket, so the chances of both me and my sister getting one is not likely... and she would literally murder me if i went without her. So not sure whether to try for a ticket or not, what if only one of us gets one?! It's been a terrible terrible year, our dad died suddenly in May so i can't just leave her at home and go off to see Paul when Paul has always been our joint love since being little kids...
And i would love to take my son, but he wouldn't cope with the travel to london. He absolutely loves Paul "fine line man" and waved at him at lipa a few weeks ago!

20 seconds? You're being a bit optimistic aren't you?Â

At the absolute most! Be worth it though to say I've met him. I might try for a handshake but that might be pushing it a bit

You would have to see how they flow it. They are not allowing any photos or photo ops, so they will still try to keep the line moving, but if he's actually signing books, you may be able to swing a handshake as he gives the book to you. Springsteen did some ticketed "book signing" events for his autobiography, but he didn't actually sign the books at the store; they were all presigned and given out as you left, after your quick hello/photo op with him. They kept the line moving very fast, but people were happy to get the opportunity to say hello and have their photo taken with him.
Good luck getting a ticket!

Yeah Iâll be seeing how it goes if Iâm fortunate enough to get a ticket. Someone has to get them. Iâd rather a photo to be honest but Iâll take a signing of course. Iâd take anything of course. Even a secret one where I can never tell anyone that I met him. Anything to meet him ď¸

Good Luck for all of the boardies who try to get a ticket on Monday     Hope there are some signings in the US too!!! Fingers Crossed
There are some Air BnB's studio apts. that are rather reasonable in London, for those who are lucky to get a ticket. Just a FYI

Well done guys, although I wish there was a slightly farier way, like a lottery. Had to try getting this during work and with awful internet.

Congrats to all that were able to get tickets!
