Glastonbury 2020 - confirmed
-
In this interview with Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 yesterday morning, Paul is asked about playing Glastonbury next year (its 50th anniversary). Sounds like he's giving it pretty serious consideration

It's official now! He's playing the Saturday

So it's official! Question is though.... how on earth do I bag tickets after missing out on the general sale Resale changes will be slim!
-
I'm desperate to go too , unfortunatley due to my ignorance I didn't realise it had already sold out . I'm now hoping it maybe means more British dates ?

It wouldn’t surprise me if he did one of the Hyde Park concerts the following weekend. Just speculation.

You can register for resale tickets in April! That’s what I have done

I really hope he does other non-festival UK dates

HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO GET TICKETS FOR PAUL at GLASTENBURY (from Australia)
-
Glastonbury tickets have already sold out months but I understand that there is usually another smaller round of ticket sales in April.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with Glastonbury - unless you are right down the front you may as well stay at home and watch a Paul DVD

Been twice, and the atmopshere is incomparable. At the front, in the middle, or at the hill.

Ah - thank you ! didn't know . I've always wanted to go to Glastonbury - specifically when my all time hero is playing . There's rumours going about that Crowded House may be playing it too , so if there's a chink of hope then I'm elated !

Happy to hear. Wondering if some tickets will be open and if we can still fly there. I'm going for my annual birthday month celebration!!! Saying MUCHo prayers that all will be well and thinking positive.

You've got to be kidding! Paul should not endanger himself and neither should you! They should cancel Glastonbury.

I highly doubt this crap will still be going on by June, though. At least not to this extent. I have to think that with all the extreme measures they're taking now, shutting down many public places/events, it should die down soon.

I'm afraid you are highly underestimating the impact of what is yet to come in the UK. With the late response and the announced (non-)measures the epidemy in the UK has yet to begin, and it will not be an easy ride:
The peak is weeks away, and it is yet to see if the NHS will be able to handle it this way. All this will never be solved in time to comfortably hold an event with 200,000 people across 1100 acres with very little hygiene. Never mind the logistic problems, with acts worldwide cancelling tours altogether, travelling overseas becoming difficult/impossible, gaps in schedules, festivals backing out, even less acts on tour, the full snow ball effect. It's becoming increasingly unlikely Glastonbury or any festival will go on this Summer.
