I've heard that video is from last year when NHS was losing it's funding. So...back to worrying about why he hasn't shown himself.
ah that's disapointing - the national tv news made out that all the celeb stuff was new.
Wish he'd do a quick post/video
I think it is a new video although I do remember Paul holding up a sign in support of the NHS in the past. Although not 100% proof positive, even his brother Mike has tweeted this morning about the video.

^ yes i thought it was new.. unless someone compares the two i still think it is, but, i guess we've more important things to worry about!
still surprised there's been no mention at all of his tour dates, and not even a "thanks for staying in" type of quick message, but as long as Paul is doing ok it's one thing
-
On FB they are comparing pics...hair & shirt. This was last year wasn't it?
-
THere seem to be a lot of pics with him holding a sign & people can just drop in any verbiage that they want.

Does anyone have a link to the video from last year for NHS?
I don't think Paul's appearance on this current video is from last year. (See current news items in links below, posted within the last 8-20 hours). From news items it looks like the NHS were recruiting celebrities to appear in this video to support healthcare workers on the coronavirus frontlines, as part of a weekly "Clap for Carers" appreciation day. It also doesn't make sense that the NHS would use old footage of celebrities from last year, when so many in the public eye want to encourage and uplift people during this crisis, because it's needed badly.

Elton John and Paul McCartney among stars thanking NHS
By Press Association 2020Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney and David Beckham were among the stars paying tribute to NHS staff risking their lives fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video shared online by NHS England, stars from film, TV, music and sport held up a placard bearing the slogans #OurNHSPeople and #ThankYouNHS.
Sir Elton, Sir Paul and Beckham were joined by A-listers including Sir Mick Jagger, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas.
Kylie Minogue, Naomi Harris, Eddie Redmayne Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Sir Mo Farah also featured.
The video was shared hours before the nation saluted key workers for a second successive Thursday.
Up and down the country grateful Britons stood on their doorsteps and hung out of windows to clap, cheer and bang pots and pans to show their appreciation for key workers.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson emerged from self-isolation to join in.
The first Clap For Carers took place on Thursday, March 26 and is expected to continue on a weekly basis.
ITV paused its programming as part of the tribute.

Hmmm...I guess we won't know absolutely for sure unless Paul does his own little video.
-
I've been looking around to see if there's anything similar to that video in the past few years & nothing appears to show. The only thing about the NHS & Paul is him allowing the NHS to use With a Little Help From my Friends. I believe it's a new video, along with Mike sharing it I have no reason to believe it's an old video

^ yep me too Gordy. How are you doing, hope you're ok at the mo - doesn't last Sept's Paul adventures seem a lifetime ago now

Yeah I've not been too bad, mainly bored & disappointed with all the concert postponements that have been going on but it's the right thing to do. Hoping to hear about a new date from Paul soon. How have you been? I know it's insane back when you could handshake people, it was only 7 months ago!

Paul is simply having a wonderful social distancing time.

He's on the Howard Stern show right now & he's in Sussex but Nancy is in New York which is a shame. But it's good to hear he's doing well, he's on lockdown with Mary right now
-
Paul in Mary's kitchen. Watch till the end...or skip to the end.
-
haha you can hear him moving off camera, then see him for a second

The length of the video usually shows up on the bottom of the actual video along with a horizontal bar where you can move it & skip ahead. This doesn't show up on your device? The video is only 9 minutes.

That bar only shows up for me in youtube videos, not on IG.

This is the photo that was with the instagram post. Paul looks great here, love his hairstyle, and the blue shirt and suit are a very good color for him!
