What are fans doing to pass the time during this Coronavirus period?

Things will be different on the return to work .... I. have to be ready when needed but they are only going for a few jobs and staggered shifts and short shifts, as needed and as few people as possible for the short term - there is a "window" of time to enter and exit the building .... changes for now.
[Hope that wasn't too boring].... we had a "small team" meeting online and besides the serious stuff it was fun to hear the humor that some used to comment on the things said - to where even the leader of the team laughed and grinned in how it was said.
That means that I look around my house and "looks like I will do ,,,,, this today -
finding more of the things that need to be done.
I was glad for the meeting because the unknown or the "hey they are working in the building, should I have shown up? Did I miss the message to return?"
No I did not .... it was good to see or hear from the people that I work with during the meeting ...
it's a different world for awhile ,,,,

Thank God my wife has gotten me into a truly great British Drama Series that I entirely missed over the last few years. It is especially good for all the sadness we have been experiencing in 2020.
The Series is called "Call the Midwife". I think it is one of the best series I have ever seen. It is that good and I absolutely love it! The stories are so uplifting following the nurses, midwives and Nuns from the Nonnatus House in the Poplar Section of East End London in the late 50's to early 60's. This House provided such great care, hope and medical expertise to the poorest of expectant mothers and to the entire community in this section of London. The stories are so well written and the acting is superb. It also shows the trememdous sacrifices that these people made while at the same time not receiving riches or fame. They were totally satisfied with helping people in pain and sometimes desperation while showing the overwhelming beauty that "babies" can give to these mothers and families. Every story is so different and I'm now into the 5th Season.

I just finished binge-watching the 1st and 2nd seasons of After Life starring Ricky Gervais. He is a widower who lost his beloved wife to cancer. It is poignant at times, but also very funny. Each season is only 6 half-hour episodes. It's on Netflix. You will have to put the closed captioning on or you will never understand the fast-paced BritSpeak and they use a lot of Brit slang. I highly recommend it though, as long as you don't mind hearing the f-word a lot!

That show was easy to binge watch. It goes quick. I did not use captions. (Maybe I missed a few minor slang words - I think I got the gist of many).

I use captions on all the shows I watch. My hearing is not what it used to be. I should say, can hear the voice, but understanding what was said is hard sometimes, even on American shows.

Watching the Spanish Princess. Beautifully done, wonderful costuming and love the historical references and the ancient castles and towns.

We recently moved into our new home that we built on the shores of Georgian Bay. Unpacking & organizing for a couple of weeks. Outside landscaping completed; hopefully our sod will be laid this week. I'm really happy I don't live in an urban area anymore. Coping well w/ the social distancing however I really miss the gym as I'm there faithfully 5-6 days a week for 2 hours. Run almost daily between 8-12k & cycle a few days a week, do some core work to keep trim/healthy. Built a firepit so we have cocktails, tunes & watch amazing sunsets over the Bay sitting in our muskoka chairs.
I hope all the Macca fans are healthy & keeping well.

I learned some Frech and Italian for traveling in Europe over a year ago. Started using the App again. (Duolingo).
Now i watch movies in French with English captions. Then I did something bizzare to myself: i watched a movie in English with French captions. And a movie with Italian captions. I'm probably left in the dust after a minute, but do recognize more than I thought too.

I loved that show - is supposed to have another season. Have you seen The White Princess and The White Queen? (both on STARZ)

If someone told you last year ... you would be (doing this) ... you would probably have called them crazy (nuts, out in space, needing help etc...)
If someone told me last year that I would be putting on a mask before going into the workplace, before going into a store, using my car in the parking lot as a waiting room, that I would be called on my phone to enter a back door to go into a building 20 feet away, that I would be staying home while I was okay, but not going anywhere with this time off, that I wouldn't see any entertainment- concerts and sports, that I would not sit in a restaurant, movie theater, or go to a beach ... but not just me ... for many thousands and thousands of other people doing the same. If someone said your hair will be long and you won't get it cut or for some all that goes with it .... there is a lot more, but for sure it would have sounded wacky and unbelievable...
Just saying....

In the O.R. we would tape the mask across the bridge of our nose to prevent fogging.

I just keep it tucked up under my glasses.

If it's made out of cloth that's easier.

I got a haircut.
Normally it would be no big deal. Hair cutting places just opened days ago.
People went to those places on the day they re-opened. I gave it a few or more days. I feel better for something so basic.
I ate dinner inside a restaurant. (They did what they could to distance tables, masks by customers until they ordered etc)... it was different, lesser people, lesser food choices, but with an attempt to be as much like their type of restaurant aa they used to be.
Am I going to tell stories to the young generation now of how I lived in the good 'ol days?

I've been reading a lot (now: "Cannery Row." Next up: Neil Gaiman's "American Gods"). And cooking. A coworker who's from India just gave me a recipe for butter chicken that's surprisingly easy and really, really good.

Studying for testing to apply to nursing school. It had been cancelled suddenly in March. Rumors are nursing class will be online for the first time ever. Going to have to buy a new computer if so, the old hacked one has been in a box for almost 2 years. Hope it all works out. They are not sure about anything yet.
Slowly working on a garden in the heat.
