Mail notification button not working

Is it just me, or is the mail notification not showing a number on it when you get a PM?

That's why I check my PM inbox every day, just in case it messes up again.
Now if I could just delete old PMs I'd be happy! But that is not working!

Mine works when it feels like it. And if it does work, that little"1" doesn't go away for days.

No, it just started working. The thing about it is, it shows the #1 if someone sends you a PM. Then when you answer, the #1 stays there for a day or so instead of going away!

Do you mean shutting down my device? I'm on an iPad which just goes in sleep mode when I'm not using it. It's the website, not my device that is screwed up.

No. I didn't mean turning your appliance on or off. I was talking about logging out of your account and logging in again. To see if it makes a difference.

This is by no means a solution, but it may work:
You open your inbox, click on the box - to delete.
*all boxes are grayed out - so you cannot deleteclick a back key on your device ... then click the forward key or arrow on your device.
** See if the 3 buttons are light blue?
if so - continue ... if not it could have been worth a try. -

I log off every time after I'm finished here, then log back on the next day - no change.

I went back to check after I was able to delete the one PM and the boxes are still gray, so will have to just use your trick in the future!
