Your favourite songs on MCCARTNEY III

Interesting that a helter shelter is shown on Wikipedia as a slide, nice picture of one on there. So the song Slidin is somewhat linked to Helter Skelter. Musically, it has that all-out wild rock feeling like the classic White album song. Love the lyrics about dragonflies.
For me Slidin' is more linked to Only Mama Knows & I Want You To Fly than Helter Skelter.

Wow! But you can say that you like everything in the album. In fact, tell me the song you don't like. It'll go faster.
Il y a beaucoup de gens qui aiment

Still playing the album (at least once) every day.
Back on 27/12 my fave 3 were: Deep Down / Women and Wives / Slidin'
Now they are: Deep Deep Feeling / Deep Down / Women and Wives

Je parle très peu,
je veux en savoir plus
I would like to move to France for 6 months so I may learn your beautiful language. I just bought all Rosetta Stone languages for a good price during lockdown. All the best!

Yes, I know. But there's no one left on it. It's a shame.

Merci beaucoup.
Bon voyage là-bad. Profite de ta journée.

Getting back on track...
I like playing guitar with Slidin and Lavatory Lil. Even just goofing around and playing bits and pieces along. Just fun guitar.

And I played "Women and Wives" on the piano. I'm really enjoying playing this song.
Thanks to her I composed two new songs. -

J'apprends le français. Je peux en lire. J'ai généralement besoin que quelqu'un parle lentement. Je n'ai pas confiance pour parler à qui que ce soit.
I hope this makes sense.

Thanks to her I composed two new songs. That is great to hear. I have written songs after listening to new Paul McCartney albums. Glad it got you to write some too.

Listened to McCartney 3 after a two-week hiatus.
Favourite songs:
When Winter Comes (the only song I can imagine on a Beatles album)
Seize the Day (I like this one)
They were always my two favourite songs on first listening, so nothing has changed.
And then a bit of daylight.
Find My Way, Slidin'
Deep Deep Feeling could've been great at three and a half minutes. As it is, drawn-out and ordinary.
Some of the other songs are 'OK', but there are too many songs on the album that are 'OK'. I don't want 'OK'. Not good enough for one of the best artists of all-time (if not the greatest artist - with John).
So, for me, the album remains underwhelming.

In fact, I started at the beginning of 2020 with the song "Scared" and since then I haven't stopped. Some time ago I ran out of ideas. But when the album MCCARTNEY III came out, it woke me up all of a sudden. And the song that finally convinced me to continue is "Deep Deep Feeling".
P.S. I can never thank Paul McCartney enough for what he has passed on to me through his songs.

I would just like to come back to one small thing. You are comparing Paul McCartney's album with the Beatles. While there is a very big difference. Paul McCartney is alone or accompanied by a few musician friends. But who don't have the same status as John, George or Ringo had.
And otherwise the Beatles are four. Which makes quite a difference.
That's why it's not comparable. Especially for this album that he made alone with the means at hand. Very good means, I don't say.
So, either you listen to Paul McCartney like Paul McCartney, or you listen to the Beatles. But you can't compare the work of one person with their personality and the work of four with their personality and the mix that it makes.I just wanted to underline this parenthesis.
Otherwise I don't like everything on this album either. I also think that "Deep Deep Feeling" and "Deep Down" are a bit too long. But deep down I think it's a good idea.P.S. I'm sorry I got a bit carried away. I hope I didn't hurt anyone.

^ toris, I'll let you answer for yourself, but since I agreed with you about McCartney III, let me just say I'm not comparing it to anything the Beatles did. I compare it to Paul's past solo works. When Winter Comes sounds like it could have been on Flaming Pie to me.
Anyway, the album just doesn't "blow my dress up" as the saying goes. -

In my opinion, The Kiss of Venus, When Winter Comes, Seize the Day, and Pretty Boys are the "Beatles worthy" tracks of the album.
McCartney 3 isn't my number one favorite album of Paul's, but I think it easily deserves to be counted amongst the "late career hot streak" group of albums Paul's had since Flaming Pie.
