Wow! Early adopter?

@kㅤ Yeah. I think maybe it was a player/recorder. Can't remember that far back. I do remember it was a Panasonic.

@oobu24 I only bought my Betamax VCR in 1979, because the BBC were showing ALL the Beatles films, over Christmas, including Let It Be. So I had to fork out £700 ( a PHENOMINAL amount of money back then ) to buy a video recorder. But well worth it. No YouTube back then, so no Beatles, unless the BBC deemed to grace us with a Beatles movie, which wasn't that often. But now I had all the Beatles films at my fingertips, so now I could watch them when I dam well pleased.

Yikes! I remember having to buy a new camcorder after my ex took ours after the divorce (these were the ones that held the small tapes you either had to use a VHS cassette converter or hook up the camcorder to your TV to watch the video) It cost me about $1000 in 2000.

They all played and recorded. You know, my first one might have been a Panasonic, not Sony. I just remember we got it before we moved into our first house so that’s how I knew it was in 1983.
