Heyis everyone here watching the board, especially the spoilers,or do you not want to know?I want to know about every little detail, but that's just me...I can't believe the amount of complaining going on about the setlist... (harleyblues especially..) Any idea where to meet up yet? Now I'm getting pumped!Saw myself on tv this am,the sunday morning program with a feature and interview with Paul...did anyone catch that? They replayed some of the driving rain dvd,and I'm in it... Scruffs,I'll bet you are in many of Paul's videos,as many concerts as you've been to,right?
-
I do NOT want to know the set list, so I am only reading threads I have been into because I found out two songs the other day from thread titles, so please don't post spoilers in here. I haven't found myself in any of Paul's DVDs, but I am in the Concert for George. Where were you this morning?
-
I don't want to know the set list either....I want to be surprised!!!! P.S And yes, there is a LOT of bitching going on!!!!! Kind of sad, don't you think???
-
I'll be driving up from Wichita, KS for this show. Unless I can find someone to trade a ticket for the Omaha show. But, since that doesn't look to be happening, I should be here. So where is the best place to stay? When is the best time to get to the arena for a chance to see Paul pull up and maybe getting a picture? What about soundcheck? thanks, justin
-
I find it very sad that it sounds like people are complaining. I haven't visited the main page because they aren't keeping the set list out of the thread titles. It is very inconsiderate of people to put the song titles in the thread titles. They aren't considering people who do not want to know and who aren't going until later. I belong to several Paul email lists and I can't believe how many messages I have hit delete on without opening them and that is how I found out another song title this morning. Someone didn't put SPOILER in the email and there it was.

I will not spoil it for you Scruffs,or mspeel(I love that name, but isn't that from the Avengers, and not Bond?) Hey JDL,I hear 4 or so in the afternoon is a good time to be at the arena for possibly a glimpse, and then soundcheck.I plan on doing the same...where are u sitting for the show?I have two tics on ebay right now,and FINALLY got bids on them.so hopefully won't have to eat them... Any one heard from Seuss lately about the meetup? I'm out of here....and also not complaining about the setlist one bit !!

To jdl535- Wichita is not too far from Overland Park(Ks).!!! FYI- I got a reservation at the Renaissance Savery Hotel..they had a special Paul McCartney package for $99.00. I'm not sure if they are still offering it or not! reservations@renaissancehotels.com ( I think it's close to the arena) To maccatalk- Actually my name comes from my love of all things British: MsPeel(The Avengers), and 007 (James Bond)!!!!! Hopefully one of these days I'll make it to the U.K.!!!

I hope to try to find where the limo might come and do the limo watch. They're fun!
-
I did the limo watch in Kansas City back in 92(?) My kids were still youngsters( 10 & 7), and Paul was their first concert!! I decided to get to the stadium at 1:00, and we stood around until 5:00 or 5:30 until THE LIMO drove by!!! Paul gave us his usual "thumbs up". The kids were so excited they about peed themselves!!!!(So did I). By the time the concert was 3/4 over, my 7 year old had fallen asleep!!!! It was a loooooong day!! (But worth it)!
-
I've done it at several concerts and it is worth it. We met Paul at the airport in Liverpool and got the thumbs up. That was fun, too!
-
I'm so jealous!!!! You went to Liverpool???? How awesome was that??
-
In 1990 (when we went to the airport) and again in 2003! There is nothing like seeing Paul in Liddypool!
-
I have always wanted to go to Great Britain!!! One of these days I WILL go!! Was it very expensive???? :
-
Yes, it is expensive. I think 1990 was more expensive than 2003 because of the exchange rate. I go with a tour group. I think that cuts down on the cost and you get to do things that you can't arrange on your own. I hope you get to go there someday. It's like going to Mecca--or is that Macca?
-
I 'd love to hear all about your visit!!! Did you go through a Beatles tour group,or just a regular tour??? I'm sure that IS the more inexpensive way to go, but there's so many places that I want to see, I doubt a tour group would cover it all!!! I could be wrong! And you were at The Concert For George??? That must have been INCREDIBLE!!!! I love that concert! How on earth do you get tickets for something like that???? :
-
I did the two Paul shows with a Beatles tour group. That is the only way to get in some places--like inside Abbey Road. We bought the Concert for George tickets on eBay. A friend in Cleveland and myself in Iowa. There wasn't time for them to ship the tickets, so while the seller had excellent feedback, we each flew to London with no ticket in hand. The night before the show we met up with the seller and we had our tickets. Well worth the price for that experience. It may be the last time Ringo and Paul are ever on stage together. We talked to Wix, who I had met in 1990. He played along like he remembered. John Fugelsang from VH1 sat behind us and we gave him a bad time about the Town Hall meeting and how neither of us had won. We are in the DVD, right after Sam Brown sings.
-
OMG!!! That is so great!!! I'm sure you had to be just "a bit" nervous going to England without ticket in hand!!!! I would have been crapping myself!!! But what an AWESOME concert to go to!!! So many great musicians.....I'm SOOOOOO jealous!!!!

Hey, this is going to be my first PM concert, and I just have a couple questions I want to ask my fellow Des Moines-ians. 1. Will I be able to bring my camera to the show and take pictures? 2. Should I buy my tour merchandise on-line or wait until the show? That's all I need to know, and I would appreciate someone informing me. Thankyou!

Cameras will not be allowed - security will take it from you at the door. If you sneak in a camera somehow and get caught - you can be thrown out - I wouldn't chance it. I always buy my merchandise at the show. Lines will be long - get there plenty early. Also, this new arena is having a bunch of problems getting people into the show in time - I repeat GET THERE EARLY! They keep saying they will have all the bugs worked out with security, etc., before the Paul show, but . . .well, I'll believe it when I see it. The fans trying to get into Green Day last weekend had a horrible time! The merch tables are usually still up and selling after the show also

Thanks so much...i really appreciate the answer...and after seeing how much shipping will cost, i will buy my stuff at the show. I plan on getting to the show early, but I have class at ISU until 330, so I don't know how early it will be.
