Side note, I'm trying to like Aquarius, but they have too many pots and are trying too hard to cram every event from the 60 s in the show.
Well, there was a lot going on then! I just love David Duchovney's character as Detective Hodiak though. It's trying to be as authentic as possible and doing a damn good job imho. I was only 14 when all that stuff went down in 1969, but remember it vividly. Also read Vincert Bugliosi's book Helter Skelter - very enlightening!
I like the Manson part, but not the Vietnam, black panthers, the other serial killers, the drug dealers, etc... And then the preview shows him on the detail to protect Bobby Kennedy. He's like the forest bump of the 60s.
Yeah, I see what you mean. But what "other" serial killers are you talking about?

Whatever is going on with those pictures of the girls who look a like and are being murdered

Can't think of what you're referring to. Anyway, I still like the show, mostly because I love David Duchovny!

I'm still watching, I just may not have the attention span for it. Just watched this weeks and didn't feel quite as overwhelmed trying to keep up with the 2 hour season premiere. I just wish they'd hurry up and get to the white album being released. Hope they can use some of the real music, but I bet not.

They have gotten to that point already. They've already shown the Sharon Tate murder scene with Helter Skelter written on the wall. You have maybe missed an episode.

That was a flash forward. I want to see when they discover the white album.

"Helter Skelter" is probably one of the most frightening, disturbing books I've ever read! (Along with "In Cold Blood.")

I read it when I was about 14 and then put on the white album in the dark with headphones on. Scared the crap out of myself.

I was 19 when the book Helter Skeler came out in 1974 and I read it then. (Still have it1) Also read In Cold Blood. I agree - both very disturbing!

On Final Jeopardy last week... A 1968 Beatle's song about a spiral children's slide often seen at fairgrounds. I wish that they would completely disassociate Manson from The Beatles and vice-versa. It makes me think of the infamous Valentine's Day Massacre. Nuts!

I know! But to be fair, no American knew what a Helter Skelter was back then! Heck, I just found out about 5 years ago!

Last night's episode of Aquarius was titled "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey."
-
On an old Criminal Minds from 2009: Penelope Garcia: "We've been getting to know Heather Vanderwaal. I can't tell you her favorite Beatle, but I can tell you she was living la vida unhappy."
-
Last night's Aquarius was titled "Revolution 9." The show keeps flashing back to 18 months before the Tate/LaBianca murders which was Aug 9, 1969. The present time is now June 1968 when Bobby Kennedy got shot. So there are flash-forwards as well! Sometimes gets a bit confusing, but I love the show anyway!

I expect Hodiak to be with the 1st crew to be landing on the moon by the time the series I done. I enjoy it too despite its flaws (like when they pinned the undercover guy down to shave his head but he came out looking like a male model.).

Yeah, Sam Hodiak is the "Forrest Gump" of TV! He's everywhere!

Yesterday on E.T. (Entertainment Tonight) the birthday clue was "Which Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer is married to a former Bond girl?" Of course the answer was Ringo. One of the others shown was Eric Clapton. Can't remember who the 3rd one was.
-
On an old Criminal Minds (2009) [the show that profiles serial killers] Rossi: "And this from the man whose favorite record is The Beatles White Album!" Hotchner: "Just because Manson hijacked it, doesn't have to ruin it for the rest of us."

I'm wondering if the letters he's getting from the murderer of those various women will have anything to do with the zodiac killer.

Ooh, yeah, maybe so!
