Collecting Beatles Memorabilia!

Here is an example of John signing for all four: http://www.beatlesautographs.com/JohnLennonImages2.htm Btw, I've examined my Paul sig and concluded that it's fake.

Does anybody here think these are real autographs? I got them from a classmate of mine in 1967. She said her dad was a pilot for United Airlines and got their autographs in '66. They are signed on the back of a United Airlines Memo sheet. (you won't believe this, but I only paid her $2 for them! Come on! We were 12 years old!)
....... good luck....and if it turns out to be real????? ...good for you..and let me know what you want for them ...if you decide to get rid of it... lmao no seriously, contact Frank....and let us know what happens OK
Hey, I'll give ya $5.00?
Good one! Thanks everybody for your input. I'll try contacting Frank and see what he thinks. That would be something if the John one was real and he signed the other three!

Hey...Nancy...you'd more than double your money.

Years ago on eBay. :

So for those of us who are 1st generation fans, what was the first collectible (other than records) that you bought? I think mine was swatches of Ringo's linens from the Plaza Hotel. And after that the Remco dolls. I sold my collection in the mid-80s to a noted Chicago collector.

I think the Remco dolls (all 4) were the first thing for me in '64. I also (still) have the white sweatshirt w/them on the front and matching 3-ring binder (the one where they airbrushed Paul's cigarette out!), the head shots in color plus facsimile autographs on a metal tray, the 'Soakie' toys (bubble bath) of Paul & Ringo (for some reason they never made John & George!) and the Revell model of Paul w/guitar (you put it together-like a model car-and paint it)
-
I don't know how I missed the Revell models, because I was big into them at the time. Do you still have all those items, Nancy? That in itself is an accomplishment.
-
Yes, I still have everything from 1964, up to the present. I only lost one item in my many moves and that was the large red & white button that said "I'm a Official Beatles Fan" with their pics and autographs on it. (I since replaced it with a smaller version reproduction) I even have a room in my house that everyone calls my 'Beatles Museum' with all my memorabilia (I have over 100 Beatle-related books) in it. My 24 year old daughter thinks I'm insane, but her twin brother is into them somewhat. He even has them on his iPod!

Thanks for posting. I had seen the news about it but not any of the pics. They're quite good, especially the last one.

So......do you collect any type of Beatles memorabilia? If so, when did you start?? ...and what do you collect??
I have become an accidental collector, whilst working on my books I have come across a lot of stuff some I have bought other items have been passed onto me, I would not sell any of the stuff which is really good concert ticteks etc, but the best item I cherish is the record My Bonnie which is signed by John, Paul, George and Pete Best, which was released in 1962, I have had offers for the single but have never been tempted to part with this record, on my website www.beatlesliverpoolandmore.com you can view some scans of some of my memorabilia.
