Collecting Beatles Memorabilia!
-
GYPSYGIRL:
I've been collecting since late '63/eary '64. I just collect whatever catches my fancy & what is affordable for me. I've met all 4 Beatles, have their autographs & have taken photos.
Salute! I'm happy for you and how I wish I did too.

Hi guy's I work in a distribution center that employees around 1000 people, now some of the lads I work with know I'm into the Beatles big time and some of them know what I collect Now around 6 months ago a chap was telling me a story about his mother in law watching the Beatles at Northwich, now Nothwich is only about 4 miles from were I live. I thought no more of it, then the other other day he passes me an envelope, so I open it and there is a small peice of paper signed by Paul and Ringo, they were genuine (I know a bit about Beatles signatures as I'm sure some of you know ops: ) and I reakon the date from late 1962 I was bowled over. Anyway in my usual style, I made him an offer to pass on to his mother in law I will keep you posted ops:

Good Luck, Riggers! Hope your offer is accepted. I'm happy with the autographs I was able to get in person over time. I also have autographs from Julian, Cyn, Sean, Yoko & Jane Asher too. Ever since my son saw Paul live in concert (the very first time he was 5), he decided he wants to be a "Rock Star Just Like Paul" & he said he also wants to play guitar on stage with Paul! One heck of a dream for a 10 year old.....

Jo, I didn't bid on anything in the Beatles live auction. I got to many other deals running at the moment ops: The Ringo Rama, The full set signed by George from Christie's London, The 1962 half set from Northwich signed Paul and Ringo and now I have just been offered a Abbey Rd cd signed by Ringo So I think it best if I don't bid on anything else until I have closed these deals I can not keep up at the MOMENT

Jo, has it ended and did you win anything?

WOW Steve!!! ..i don't know what to say! ...i'm speechless with all your awesome finds!!!! ..yeah i don't blame you regarding the auction!

no sweetie...the auction goes "live" from 10-12 today (i'm assuming vegas time...which would be 1-3 my time)..however, the ebay auctions don't end for 19 hours!!! ...so i'm a bit confused!!!!... ...maybe "some" lots will be 'live" and others will stay with ebay since many people are bidding on many items! ...i really don't know how it works!!!...btw i am still the highest bidder for 2 lots...but that probably won't last long!
-
Im shocked to see some of the gold records starting out at $10.00, is that right. plus a lot of other stuff seems to be that low. I know it wont stay that low though. ((Jo)) good luck with your bids, have fun.
-
Hi Thomas...yeah i noticed that! ...however, if you look...they estimate to get betw 500-1,000 on some; 600-1,200 on others..and 4,000-5,000 on some of the others! ...and if you check...there are already bids on the gold records (however, it doesn't state the amounts)....but if you go to the amount of bids...you will know who is the highest bidder because their name is on top. that's gonna be some auction!!! ...unfortunately i can't hang by the computer all day!! ...btw thanks for the luck.
-
Best of luck to you Jo, Don't forget set your limit and STICK to it
-
thanks steve....yep...i'm going off the computer now...so as not to get tempted!!!! ...if i win, i win...if i don't i don't!
-
-
(((thomas))) (((steve)))..thank you for your well wishes. however????....i got outbid on everything i bid for at the auction!!! ...but i guess it's ok in a way. ..maybe next time. now all i have to do is wait for my signed Paul dvd???? OMG ((((steve))). ..THAT'S AWESOME!!!! ...man you are so lucky to fall into such great stuff.

To top it off I thought I was buying a page from an autograph album, only turned out to be a autograph book with around 12 signatures form the early 60's Don't know who any of them are
