hi steve... ...this is the description of the autograph! ...i don't want to post any pictures yet because I don't want to jinx it! ...i really hope i win this autograph. "Clear, perfect ballpoint signatures, ?John Lennon? and ?Yoko Ono Lennon,? on the correspondence side of a 6 x 4 postcard with a color photo of a BOAC Rolls-Royce 707 Jetliner. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original owner, who explains that, while working as an air steward for BOAC, he obtained the signatures personally on a New York?to?London flight, circa 1974. A few faint, tiny spots (away from signatures) and neat collector?s ink notations, otherwise fine, fresh condition." of course if i win..i will also contact either perry or frank for their added COAs.

Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original owner, who explains that, while working as an air steward for BOAC, he obtained the signatures personally on a New York?to?London flight, circa 1974. i have since contacted good ol' frank caiazzo for his expertise knowledge and have also asked for a COA for this wonderful item. ...i am waiting to hear from him. i also just received my invoice from the auction house! ...i didn't realize i paid so much for it!!. ..it's the most money i ever paid for a Beatles autograph! ....there will be no partying for me for awhile!
-
Hmmmm I'm no expert of John autographs and I could not tell a fake from a real one ops: but how could this air steward get an autograph from John when (as far as I know anyway) he wouldn't leave the USA until 1976 when he was finally granted his green card? And was it not mentioned in several biographies that John never set foot in England again after he moved to New York? (((((Jo))))), the last thing I want is to spoil your joy over this autograph which after all could still be genuine yet the story that comes with it just doesn't fit with what we know about John.
-
are you friggin kidding me liz??????? ...i have to pay the auction house $1,812.01. i haven't done it yet, since i'm waiting to hear from frank caiazzo! ....i am going to respond to the auction house's email with what you told me, stressing my doubts of it's authenticity...i will come back here and post my findings.
-
(((liz))) thanks for enlightening me and your pm. ..i'm waiting to hear from the auction house and also frank caiazzo. ...i'll get to the bottom of it!
