Kathryn O:
I got a copy of Postcards from the Boys and had a surprise. The back page was signed by Ringo! My first Beatle autograph! My nephew, whom I raised like a son, just moved out of state and he sent me a signed RIngo t-shirt he saw and knew he just had to get it for me! I have bought a ton of books in the past few monts. (I have a serious addiction to them). I've seen some old Friar Park postcards from way before George bought the park meeting some people that are really into Friar Park as much as I am. One was embossed on a plaque turned into a piece of artwork to look 'old timey' in a weird modern clay frame. The same artist did the same with a photo of Tittenhurst making the photo look as old as Friar Park. She's got other neat houses from England too in that collection but I really noticed the Beatles ones.
very nice Kathryn... .(i'm not certain but I thought maybe they were all that way ...i must check mine. ...if it isn't good for you!!! ...my first Beatles autograph was when I met Ringo at a CD signing in Manhattan years back. ..glad you're into collecting books...oh and it's cool about those Friar Park postcards..

I'm very interesting in collecting autographs, but I'm not sure who are the reputable dealers. I know Caiazzo is the best, and Perry Cox. Are there any others that are good?
hi dcshark....well if you're not lucky enough to meet Paul or Ringo ...your best best is auction houses such as It'sonlyrocknroll...lelands...rrauction.....charitybuzz(bette midler)... ...and if you decide to go other routes...your best bet is not to go for an autograph on ebay unless it actually did come from someone who's a reputable seller, along with having a COA from either Frank Caiazzo or Perry Cox... .and you're right about buying directly from either one because they do sometimes sell them....along with roger epperson..... when i obtain an autograph of Paul, John or George, I make sure I get a COA (at a cost)...from either Perry Cox or Frank Caiazzo. ....so all my autographs have a COA except of course, from the ones I obtained by meeting Paul personally (twice) (CD/DVD & Book signing)...and Ringo (2 signed CDs; along with the card I sent him, at which point he in turn answered me). .... good luck. ...oh and if something appears too good to be true (in price)...it probably is

Beatlemaniac, Thanks for the info. I do have Ringo?s autograph, and it?s a full Ringo Starr signature. I got that one in 1992 at a concert. An usher took my program backstage, and Ringo signed it. That was cool. I met someone from Tracks at a Beatle convention in Toronto, and he confirmed it was an authentic signature. I have done some research on dealers and found Tracks from the UK to be a reputable dealer as well. I?ve contacted Roger Epperson, and he has been kind enough to look at some signatures for me. I did buy a Paul McCartney signed Driving Rain CD from Tracks. What is the cost to get a COA from Caiazzo or Perry Cox? It sounds like you have a great collection.

hello again dcshark.. .THANKS.... ....hey that's awesome about the ringo autograph...oh and yes TRACKS is another reputable place to obtain Beatles autographs....however, i do kind of find them high in the price-range....and from what i understand they also have an ebay account...so you could probably try to get one from one of their auctions.. ...perry has charged me $125.00 and Frank has charged me $125.00-175.00...depending on the value of the autograph. ....one time i bought a george autograph from roger for $800...and got it authenticated from, i believe frank; or maybe it was perry ...it's just so hard to keep track...lol...for an additional $125.00 ...the value of the autograph goes up if you have it authenticated by a reputable source. ...oh and i did buy a Paul autograph...signed program from Frank, and he included his COA with it...don't remember if I paid $1,000 or $1,200 for the autograph.....i have it posted in this thread somewhere. autographs don;t come cheap. .....also with your ringo autograph...if you haven't already done so...try to keep the paperwork on it...as a provenance as to when and where you obtained it...for your records. ..... i really wanted another john or george autograph....but decided to go for the george because it also came with a paul ...and who could want more considering it came with a COA from Perry, Frank, TRACKS,and RRAuction....pretty awesome.. ...but somewhere down the line i would like to get another john... good luck in obtaining what you are aiming for.

Does anybody here think these are real autographs? I got them from a classmate of mine in 1967. She said her dad was a pilot for United Airlines and got their autographs in '66. They are signed on the back of a United Airlines Memo sheet. (you won't believe this, but I only paid her $2 for them! Come on! We were 12 years old!)

if they were real why she gave them to you?

She wasn't a Beatles fan like me and had no idea of the value (if they're real) Like I said, we were only 12 years old!!

stupid thoughts probably are real i dont think a 12 year old kid would know their signatures and try to copy them just for 2 dollars

What? She was more of an acquaintance than a friend. I didn't mind paying $2 (although that was a lot of money to a 12 year old in '67!)

That's what I thought, but a guy who was an autograph dealer, back in the '90's didn't think they were real. See, The Beatles used to get Neil or Mal to fake their signatures (I've read) so they could be fakes.

That John looks good to me, but I'm not an expert. I've spent alot of time looking at their signatures. But they all look to be written by the same hand. Joanne, Is it possible that Lennon wrote all four. That would make it very unique. Nancy R, Please let us know what Caiazzo says.
