Hating Over the Mini-Stage

I've said it before and even posted sample pictures, but there has always been a decent sized gap between the stage and first row in normal/large concert venues. In the picture posted above, it's roughly where the first row begins on the right side of the stage. In this instance, it appears the center section is pushed back a few more rows to accommodate the rising platform. Personally I don't mind it. People in the upper sections have a better view of Paul for a couple of songs, and those in the front may only be a few feet further away than normal. And if you're mid-way back center section, it's just awesome when it rises. I know others hate it but to each their own...

You can view it here from the side too...at 2:21 pause it. This is a proshot 5 minute clip from Uruguay...very cool.

I was front row for Outside Lands, and I loved the rising stage. I think it added to the power and beauty of hearing "Here Today" live for the first time. No complaints here. parlance

Uruguay was a stadium show? Seats are almost always farther away than at an arena show. With or without the mini-stage.

Maybe, I don't know. Yeah, I realize that (about the difference) I was just saying "Wow, a much bigger gap."

Have their been gap differences before for concerts in different countries or differently-sized arenas? I guess we'll get our first U.S. sample in June!
