WOW - I just read this thread from beginning to end. Triplets Love Paul it is no accident that YOU are the mom of three very special children... and no accident that they got to spend some special time with Paul - especially at a time when it was most needed in your lives. Something to think about daily and something you will remember for life! Your story is so moving and has many lessons for all of us. Thoughts and prayers will be with you and your triplets for the best of health and happiness always. Thank you Martin for pointing out this link...

TripletsLovePaul, That was a very very touchy story. It brings so much joy in my heart! I have tears in my eyes because of joy, and I understand how it is to have a family member be ill. May God Bless your family!!!

Tell us the story again I know that you told us the tale when the Bill Bernstein picture was picked up by the press and appeared here but that was over 2 years ago now and it's definately a story worth another outing. How did the Triplets take the fame? Was it well received at school etc? - I know schoolkids can be merciless at times. Two years is an awful long time in a child's life - they must have sprouted now, can any of them still wear those suits? Do you know the uploader of that video, or was that clip the "Find Of The Century" on YouTube? Martin
Sorry Martin, we just realized you posted this. We would have replied sooner. It wasn't us that told how the press picked up the Bernstein photo and its appearance here. We were not with the board then. We first learned about the Bernstein photo on the second night of the Philly concert (9/23/05). A few people from the McCartney organization (for lack of a better word) came to us to speak with us. We were told that they were very pleased to have just been told that one of the Bernstein photos had been chosen for a picture of the week. I believe it was this one - We next heard about the photo when we received a call informing us that it would be appearing in the next issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. How did the triplets handle the fame? It seems like a funny question, but you'd be surprised how often they are recognized, even two years later! It has been our experience that most people just want a moment or two of your time. They usually want to shake their hands. They want to "shake the hand of someone that has shook the hand of a Beatle!" It's a funny thing! Many people just want to ask them what it was like to meet Paul McCartney! Some people ask if they can take a picture of the triplets or if my husband or I would take a picture of them with the triplets. The triplets have been given an extraordinary gift from Sir Paul. They know that, as do we. When we saw how things were going, we decided very early on that we would do anything we could to pay it forward. I should probably note that by way of being triplets, strangers have been approaching the triplets since birth. So, they really aren't disturbed by it. It's pretty much been a way of life for them. However, this is a little more exciting than "who was born first, how much did you weigh, etc.!" It was very well received at school. The teachers and principal LOVED it! Their teacher hung a picture of it in their classroom. The principal hung a picture of it in the front hallway. Two teachers from the school were at the concert, as were several of the parents. The triplets have never been teased about it by anyone. They had just started first grade at the time. Not one other child in the class knew who Paul McCartney was! The 7th and 8th graders thought it was cool! The only time the triplets wore their Sgt. Pepper suits was on 9/22 and 9/23/05. For a few minutes, they did put on just the jackets for the 40th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper. They were snug! To the best of our knowledge, we do not know the uploader of this video. We have become friends with lindafan, who asked us if we would mind if she posted this clip. Someone was actually kind enough to send film from that night to the triplets for Christmas 2005. We think this clip is the "find of the century" because is gives others who were not there that night in Philly the opportunity to see the kindness and generosity of Paul McCartney's heart. Triplets Love Paul
Amazing story and wonderful video and pictures!

Hi luvupaul! Welcome to the board! Thank you so much for your lovely thoughts, and for your prayers. There isn't a day that goes by that we do not think of that night. Sir Paul gave the triplets the gift of a lifetime, and we are forever grateful for his amazing generosity. I saw your post in the Citi Field thread. The triplets are now ten years-old. Thank you for your kind words. The best of health, and much happiness to you as well. (Thanks, Martin! )

Anita ~ I read this thread from beginning to end and I too had tears to read the outcome of Joseph's health. I too would quit asking questions on what he was thinking when he was staring at Paul's picture with them. Such an innocent mind thinking so touchingly. It's breaks your heart too, that at such an innocent age, Joseph is thinking of death and who will take care of him when he's in heaven. Your children are beautiful and so is mommy. (((hugs))) Judy P.S. Thanks for teaching me how to type in color!

hi (((anita))))...btw your kids look adorable at the rockband display at the concert....how did i miss that setup????/ ...so glad you had a great time and that they allowed the cameras your son was holding.

Hi Fletch! The concert in NY was WONDERFUL!!! The Beatles Monopoly is indeed a blast! We've had some good times playing it. Things are well here. Hope all is well with you and Cindy. Are the two of you going to head down to Atlanta to catch Paul's concert on the 15th? I am keeping an eye on Antiques Road Show for you. If I notice that they are coming to your area, I will definitely send a PM to you. I know that I am going to see the two of you on that show someday!

Triplets Love Paul:
I've just read over the posts in this thread, lindafan's thoughts on Karma, wunjo's thoughts on heroes and a miracle, tears of joy, Podgie's thoughtfulness, just the loving feelings expressed here in general. Given the openness of feelings, and the season, I think it may be the right time to share something personal with all of you that have visited this thread. I hope that all of you make it back here to read this. I believe it will really alter the way that you think. The triplets discovered Paul McCartney at two and one half years old. They were head-over-heels in love with him by the age of three. To this day, he is without question their favorite person on the face of the earth. Simply put, for the triplets, the sun rises and sets through Paul McCartney. The only wish they ever expressed, the only dream they've ever had, was to meet Paul McCartney. I explained that would never, ever be possible, and the reasons why. During our children's fourth year well-check, their pediatrician discovered that Joseph had what he believed to be a very rare type of tumor. He sent us to Children's Hospital. He was correct in his findings. Although the tumor is not malignant, it is one that very often kills children, as it is generally discovered later in age. It attacks the facial area, the ear, the neck, the brain and scull. My son has undergone numerous surgeries over the years, which included the removal and reattachment of this ear, and the opening of his scull. He has permanent hearing loss in his right ear due to it. It has been horrific! The hospital offered to put us in touch with Make A Wish. I declined the offer. Night after night, after everyone went to sleep, I would tip-toe downstairs. Alone, in the quiet, I would pray that Paul McCartney would tour, so that my son would get to see him before be died. I never imagined my children meeting him. When that night in Philly came, and Paul brought my children on that stage, I knew then and there that I'd never be the same. I knew there was divine intervention. I knew that miracles do happen, Karma does exist. To this day, we've never told Paul McCartney about Joseph, and what he has done for him, not even in our thank you letter to him. Sir Paul gave the triplets a picture of them with him on stage. He addressed it to them, wrote a message, and signed it. Every night my son stops to stare at that picture. I once asked him what he was thinking about while looking at the picture. He said "do you think if Paul dies before I do he'll take care of me until you get to heaven?" On another ocassion, I asked him what he was thinking while looking at the picture, he said "you know, if I do die, the only dream I ever had came true." I have never again asked him what he's thinking while looking at the picture. Paul McCartney personally taught my children that anything is possible. He taught them that any dream you can imagine can come true. He personally showed them that when you openly give love, you receive love. Paul McCartney is the hero here. He is my children's hero. He is my hero. There is a special place in heaven for Paul McCartney. For those that may be interested, Joseph is checked every four months for tumor regrowth. As of October, he has been tumor free for one year. It is a very good sign. We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful holiday season. We think it is very special that so many of you have openly expressed your feelings. That doesn't happen very often. It's difficult to take that chance, but when you do, it really feels good!
After reading this post again...do we REALLY care what Paul sings? The fact that his songs bring such joy to this family is all that really matters. I have said this many times over the years~ PAUL, YOU ARE A CLASS ACT!

Hi PFP! I can tell you that where the triplets are concerned......Paul can play anything that he wants to play, whenever, and where ever, he wants to play it!!! We are so thrilled that after all the years that Paul has given the public so much of himself, even though he no longer needs to do so, he still continues to give of himself. Not only does he obviously enjoy performing, and bringing happiness to his first generation fans, he clearly recognizes how much it means to his younger fans to have the opportunity to be in his presence, and watch him perform. I personally am very grateful to have the opportunity to take my ten year-old triplets to see their hero perform live. What Paul chooses to play is just fine with us. We are just grateful that he is still choosing to play!!! Could not agree more, PFP......PAUL McCARTNEY is indeed A CLASS ACT!!!
