Memphis was great and there was such neat things there to do I wish I would have went a day earlier as I was not able to get to the civil rights museum and the Rock and soul museum... But Graceland and the Gibson tour were very cool. Stayed at the Westin and it was fantastic with the band there and the Spur's.
I also wished we had more time in Memphis! Such a cool city. I'm afraid I can't say the same about Indy....there's a reason it's called Naptown..the city that always sleeps
that is the truth...LOL give me southern california or even central..oh well
-
Well, IMO Indy isn't PITTSBURGH!! :
-
I was just watching youtube movies when Liverpoolgroom came in and gave me a letter..he said "This has my name on it, but I think it's yours" It's mine, I said!! It's my ticket to the show on July 14 in Indy!! Whaoooooo!!! It's here already, I didn't expect it so soon. But very glad it's here!!

Well, I've lived in Indianapolis my whole life (except for my years at IU) without much going on...and on my first visit to Pittsburgh my dreams came true and I met Paul McCartney!

I was just reading some facts about Bankers Life fieldhouse..did you know that it only seats 14,000 but Amway Center seats 20,000. I think it will be better at Indy 'cause even though I still have nose bleed seats I will be closer 'cause it's a smaller venue.
-
Bankers is a nice facility...I would rather go there than the old MSA or Hoosier dome.

I don't know where you read that, but 14,000 doesn't sound right. Bankers is a basketball arena and those are all pretty much the same size and seat 18,000 or so just for basketball.

This is where I read it... http://www.theindychannel.com/news/local-news/paul-mccartney-out-there-tour-comes-to-bankers-life-fieldhouse I believe it to be correct.

Interesting, thanks for that link. I have been to Bankers and it didn't seem that small to me.
-
I can see it being that size after being in United Center in Chicago many times it hold around 22,000 to 24,000 I believe. Same with the Palace in Auburn hills.. Just make the Bankers even that much more desireable to see a show there.

I was at Halifax..wow, you talk about too many people!! I think the venue guessed at about 40,000! And I got to the front of the stage just by pushing through the crowd. Remember, at the time I was 58 yrs. old..NOT a youngster like most that I was standing by. It was well worth the plane trip as far as $$ goes and the trip itself. I had to take four flights just to get there!! And then slept out in the commons for two nights(I didn't have a room) I ate at the gas station down the street too. I bet I spent less than $20 the whole time I was there on food. Would I do it all again? NO,not now!! I'm too old..

When I google Bankers Life Fieldhouse capacity it says 18,000. That seems more likely, but who knows... it probably all depends on if the floor is empty for a basketball game, or if the seats behind the stage are blocked off with curtains, etc.

You will see..and if you like we can talk more when you get there. You seem to be an open minded person..NOT like the others that ignore me at other venues.

18,000 sounds right for Basketball..seems I heard that back when it opened.

Less than 3 weeks until this show! I've just been going about my normal life and hadn't stopped to realize how CLOSE it is! We need some more people in this thread to fuel the excitement!

I"M READY !!!! I just need to figure out what my sign will say. Hubby & I will be doing soundcheck too, We can't wait !

An arena's capacity for basketball is not necessarily the capacity for an end stage concert configuration. Many seats to the side and behind the stage will not be sold. Some of that will be made up on the floor, but I am not sure it would equal out. Most arenas seat about 15,000 for a concert. An arena like the United Center probably can get closer to 18,000 for a concert.
