1 if you decide to sing in a concert togheter with Ringo some beatles songs you know in advance that this will be felt by media as an half beatles reunion. You know that your performance will have space in all media of the world only for this reason. So It's not a simple night of joy. 2 if you decide to have this half reunion for a so strange charity concert about the diffusion of trascendental meditation you can expect some astonishment. 3 if you really decide to gain space in all media in this way you can't put Ringo to sing because you have to know in advance that the voice of Ringo espicially at 70 can't be so perfect. To sing in studio is very different than to sing live. 4 if you were youngster after seeing on tv news that performance would you find any interest in discovering the beatles, would you give any more chance to buy a paul or a Ringo album? 5 john and george would be happy for this half reunion? John would have sung with other three mates at 70 years old to promote trascendental meditation? Didn't he write a song on the white album against the maraishi? These are the points why i'm afraid for paul. I hope with all my heart he won't be criticized by media and lose all the favour he gained with his last albums.
I think it`s just you.
Definitely!

MartinsouthJersey, I love your PRICELESS..... comment. You have overshadowed the one negative voice on this thread.

This concert was to benefit precious beautiful wonderful CHILDREN--what's not to like about that? Radio City Music Hall is so beautiful inside! Wow. Incredible setting in which to see Paul and Ringo singing together again! I didn't know it was so beautiful. Never been in RCMH. This is truly a "high" occasion, something sacred about it. The purity of intention and motivation behind it all.

LOVED reading all of the reviews, looking at the photos, and watching the videos. Thanks so much to everyone for sharing them! MarkinSouthJersey......Excellent Post! LOVED reading every word of it! Beautiful pictures! When you sat down on the train......Absolutely LOVE when things like that happen! Great "priceless" reference!

Ringo's never been a strong singer.... and he's often off-key. But it's usually at least passable. I've seen several of Ringo's All-Starr band tours, and he does alright. But after watching clips all the clips from last night, Ringo sounded really bad. If they do indeed release the show as a live album or a DVD, I wonder if Ringo will be able to re-record his vocal track.
Yes, he sounded bad, but does that matter really?

The audience (of 7,000?) went wild...what a marvelous sight, the two singers looked fantastic and sounded wonderful, thanks for those Oliver (smiley faces) ! ! ! I first heard "Cosmically Conscious" from "Off the Ground" just the other night and love love love it

for a long long time I thought Cosmically Conscious was part of C'mon People. It has sense if you take a look at the lyrics. In a sort of Hey Jude's kind of song. But then I saw Paul didn't play that part when playing C'mon People live, then he said he wrote that in India with The Beatles...

I am sure many of you bought the official poster for (the one hundred bucks) that the vendors working for Radio City claimed were one of 500 signed by Paul. They swore up and down that they were signed by Paul and the things were just too hard to open at the table or show.Well turns out they are actually numbered prints signed by the artist. I mean that`s real nice and all but its not what I thought I was paying for or represented as. I also bought two for friends I had called up.Well anyway my theory is that the merch boss probably told the Radio City workers that the posters were signed by the artist and they thought it meant Paul. I had to fly back to Florida early and did not get to go by the venue to complain.I charged the items and could do a charge back.Did anyone else here get " deceived as well."I should have known better" but this was the Radio City merch table and I know they sold quite a few of these by telling people this.It was because I overheard them that I bought mine. I plan to keep mine but the other two people now dont want one as they are not signed by Paul.Does anyone have some advice ? I plan to call the Lynch Foundation tomorrow ...first the pre sale screw up then this Im kinda trying to meditate on not being a little angry. By the way as those who were there know he show as awesome and I got to watch Paul make a grand exit earlier in the day from the side door.Did anyone attend the after show? Did any artist show up? even maybe a Moby? and I am looking forward to Vegas! How soon is every one going to line up.I heard a rumor a the Radio City Show that the Hard Rock is letting the people staying there in before the rest of us.

When I was in line they were clearly telling people one of the 500 posters was signed by Paul. The other 499 were signed by the artist. It was like a lottery. Pauls autograph goes for a lot more than $100. I would just put them on E-bay. Someone will buy them.

Curiouser, and curiouser...my life is. Okay, so bizarre things tend to happen to me. Actually, many bizarre things tend to happen to me, in my following of The Beatles...and Paul. For instance there was the ticket fiasco with the Highline that I was responsible for although accidently...how did I know that the link I posted that said that the show was sold out, would all of a sudden become live a few days before ticket sales. As a result alot of forum members (and friends) benifited...a good thing in my book. Or the time in the Peradventure thread where I had a parody of Star Trek with Paul holding a newspaper reading "Red Sox World Series" with my comment that it must be far in the future...how did I know they would win the world series that year?! Am I responsible? I think so! I do know that I can control the weather...yup, me and a tent guarantees monsoon rain! I can stop a drought anywhere in the world. Although, they would soon be wanting to inflict bodily harm for the following extreme flooding. There are many more bizarrities, those are just a few. Then this weekend! I had the most terrific time ever!!!!!! Most unbelievable!!! I got tickets to the RCMH backdoor tour, only $18.50. I had done the tour before, and it is interesting the history and style and stories. Figuring that maybe we would get a glimse of the stage setup and work going on, it was worth a shot. What is funny is that I bought the tickets...and accidentally put in 11am. They run every half hour from 10 to about 3. When I bought the ticket it came up as 11am, and I didn't notice that there was a drop down menu for the other times. My bestist friends, instead of calling me The Blockhead, that I am, got tickets to do the tour with me. There were some other friends whom I think were probably laughing, as they booked for 1 pm and 2pm. What happens? Our timing could not have been the greatest ever!!!!! As we were going around the tour, you could clearing hear Paul singing..."Jet", "Can't Buy Me Love", some jam we couldn't quite make out, etc. I thought at first it was a recording to check the sound. Anyway, the tour was great, but at one point they let you go into this observation room way at the top of the RCMH, the small room has a huge glass window overlooking the whole place, with HD flatscreens on the walls on both sides of the window. They told us no video or photography. As we walked in, what is on stage?!!!! Paul and Ringo center stage, sharing the same microphone, singing "With A Little Help From My Friends!" OMG!!!! They let us stay about 7-8 minutes I would guess...for the complete song!!! As we were walking out we watched Ringo go up on his drums. Then we were able to hear Paul singing, while Ringo played drums "Cosmically Conscience" a long version, very accapella (unlike the evening version)...it was awesome!!!! We ended our tour, went outside and around the side and at the side door heard "I Saw Her Standing There". The group after us was a school group of teenagers or young college age...as they came out we heard a group of girls screaming, and asked what song they saw, they said they saw Paul sing "Blackbird"...we told them we saw Paul and Ringo, and they almost fainted, they were screaming for us!!! It was the most unbelievable experience of my life, and soooo surreal, if I didn't have my best friends with me I would have sworn I dreamt it or was hallucinating!!! We were all knocked out, and couldn't believe our timing!!!! The luckiest Beatle fans in the world at that moment!!! To see what we saw going on, in an empty venue!!! People would have paid a fortune to witness what we saw for $18.50!!! Just another bizarre peradventure in the world of Podgie. Do strange things happen to me... Podgie (yes, they do!) Monkey

They were selling these posters at several tables. The line I was in was left of the main doors the guy there were clearly telling people he signed 500 which as I said seemed too good to be true.I asked him twice myself because It was so cheap. I mean people were asking the guy things like "are all these are signed by Paul "? and he said yes.Maybe this was corrected later or you were at another table but I got mine fairly early on.When I checked out of the Hoteltoday there was another guy going out of the Marriot with the poster roll and he was told the same deal. Actually I`m thinking of keeping them all three and giving them as gifts.I`m sure you know the artist is the same one who designed the famous "Obama Change"poster and its is a numbered limited print.Mine is a low numbers to boot. Also you say only one was signed though?maybe i should open the other two.

DrumDaddy~ If you bought a package deal from the Hard Rock, it includes a "VIP Front of the line" pass. There will be 2 lines to get into the Joint-1 for those with line passes and those without, so yes-those people will go in first.

I'd just looked at the Obama change postcard that I had and realized the same thing (that there was an adaptation made). Change Begins Within, the theme, was also clearly adapted from Obama's campaign.
